Also, I was able to resolve the Summer moves based on conditional information people had already sent me. If you don't have a "You see:" for summer, it means that as far as you can see, nothing has changed. France (Steve Zwanger) may be losing his e-mail account for the summer. He will let me know by Thursday evening what is happening. If he needs to be replaced, the deadline will be extended and I will have the new GM take care of the moves, otherwise, I was planning on resolving the Fall moves. I moved the deadline from 10pm on Sunday to 3pm so that I will have enough time to resolve the moves Sunday afternoon. Please try and make sure your moves are on time. I still have not gotten the old history of the game from the old GM. I would appreciate it if you could send me any info you have on your moves before Fall 1904. I am trying to organize the history of the game before passing it on to the new GM. I just noticed that in the brief description Eric has of "Blind Diplomacy" in his "Diplomacy game opening!" flyer, he says that spys are supposed to see the action of any unit in the same territory as the spy. However, this is not in the "blind rules" he sent me. In any case, I have not been doing this and given that the game has been going on this long, I don't intend to start. Spys only report the location of units in their territories and their surrounding territories. ** Votes ** Everyone responded to the vote! The results are Yes=4, Abstain=1, No=1. The masses welcomed the Arch Duke, as he rode triumphantly through Budapest. In a statement issued, the Arch Duke said that the "change in rule" was necessary as a result of a "liberal foreign policy with respect to Germany and Russia". It was "not what the people wanted". The ex-Dual Monarch has been imprisoned in Split, whilst the Crown Prince's whereabouts are unknown. It is thought that he has fled to the protectorate of the Italian court, enjoying the pleasures of the Royal contortionists. *** Former Sultan installed as Governor of Turkey *** The former Sultan of the Ottoman Empire recieved the graces of Arch Duke Otto, as he was procliamed Regent of Turkey. *** Germany Claimed *** The entirety of Germany has been claimed as an Austrian protectorate due to blood relations. After Inep the Magnificent, Arch Duke Otto is next in line to the throne, after it was discovered that the Arch Duke is the eighth cousin, twice removed of Magnificent. A peace-keping force has been activated to "ensure the safety" of Inep. ( Serbian Star - final publication ) In a terrible bloodbath, Arch Duke Otto seized power yesterday. Despite popular hatred, "Mad Dog" Otto, has installed himself in the Royal Palace after 3 years on the Turkish front. It is not known how long he can survive, as the forces of the Dual Monarch may yet return the Dual Monarch to the throne. ( Evening Extra ) Just before publication, it was announced that the Dual Monarch was executed in a private courtyard in the Budapest Palaces. The method of execution was reported to be skinning with a blunt putty knife, although rumour has it that he was force-fed ten pounds of prime English Beef.
