Be that way. It's not enough that pig-dogs need three country's working together to defeat the english, but on top of that the Italians our last hope of salvation, decide to retreat from the heat of battle to perform circular manuevers on their homeland. The Prince thought that the Austrian's circular support last move was a new ingenious-one-of-a-kind- let's-give-them-land-to-lull-them-into-complacency trap, but it turns out it is actually an old ploy only used to confuse the opposition. But we English know better--If you've seen it once, you've seen it a thousand times. But since Austria and Italy have done it, who knows where the dreaded retreat-and-confuse defense can hit? France? Germany? You russians better be careful...yes, it could happen to you...you may send in movements only to...........HAVE THEM COME BACK AS SUPPORTS OR RETREATS!!! AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! EAT ME sends their apologies for the above paragraph. Apparently agents from the German Official News Agency-Defense Systems (GONADS) have penetrated our walls, so to speak. Those dirty GONADS. Security in the future will be guarded more carefully. while the northern reaches seem to have calmed down. Spies in the russian camp report the so called Back-Pain-with-Pool-of-Blood-at-the-Feet-Syndrome symptoms appearing in both France and Germany. This awful disease first shows up among allies who have just kicked the shit out of some other poor country and now hurried try to make an alliance to remove their erstwhile ally. Reports from the Turkish camp indicate heavy future engagements with Austrians. This promises to keep both coutries tied up while the rest of the world sorts itself out. Smart money has the Italians keep moving east, leaving welcome French people banners lying about, while the french and germans devour the valiant english and austrian-turksih rivalrys flame up. EAT ME would keep all of you informed of future developements, but our London headquarters is getting shelled. ARCHANGEL FALL 1904 RUSSIA ATTACKED ON ALL SIDES, IS REVOLUTION IMMINENT? Turkey: bleh...well at least I kept Bud this turn - try going into the Ion just in case Italy does something stupid - at least you'll cut support so that I can disband his Albanian unit. France: I don't think you really have to worry about Germany...take a nice vacation in Rome. England: right on dude, I'll keep the Russians occupied while you move in from the north. Italy: you're not gaining anything. You don't win the game by fighting someone tooth and nail...give it up hoser. Germany: Warsaw looks good this time of year too... England ------- -> Germany: If Russia is to be divided up, I consider St Petersburg to be the British share, Warsaw to be the German share, Sevastopol to be the Turkish share, and Moscow to be for whoever gets there first. But, I also agree that Belgium is more appropriately yours. So I'll help you get St Petersburg, and later on we can exchange St Petes for Belgium. How does that sound? (Or to look again, my army would probably be more useful for future endeavors in St Petes than one of your fleets. What do you think?) Anyway, whichever way you decide, the best first step would be F-Sweden to Finland Supported by Gulf of Bothnia (and Norway, or do I try to bounce him in St Pete's and destroy the fleet?) Then either Finland or Norway to St. Petersburg. This way we are guaranteed to get it, no guess work involved. Against France, Depending on Disbands and builds, this will probably be a turn of manoevring with no actual profit. Best bet would be for you to build an army in Munich. Then let's see what France disbands. I'm going to continue the pressure at sea. (Also can you make sure to support me to hold in Belgium, I don't want to vacate yet.) -> Italy: What did I tell you about agreeing to DMZ/non-aggression with France? Of course he is going to violate it. (Is he beginning to remind you of Turkey: no I'm not at war (oops just took a supply centre) - that was just to make it easier for us to ally -- no hard feelings?) -> Russia: Don't listen to Turkey for a minute. -> France: Fully intend to cooperate with me? Just the way Turkey is cooperating with Russia, right? Sorry, but you had your chance and you blew it. (I'm not sure I understand your playing, I offered you alliance, Germany had taken an aggressive stance on your border, so you make agressive moves against me. I would have been able to supply all the naval support that Belgium needed, so why build the fleet? And now you are antagonizing your last non-hostile neighbour, Italy.) -> Turkey: Why the hell are you talking about being eliminated from the game? France ------ France-> Germany: Please tell me how I'm being aggressive when I try to move into Burgundy--part of FRANCE. But when YOU move there, it's not aggression!! France -> Italy: Wanted to reinforce my non-aggression toward Italy.... Again, I would like to move through in order to pressure Germany. France -> Turkey: Please! I don't need you after me too! I think you're playing a hell of a game...in fact I plan on using the Turkish Total and Complete Stab method in the future. I hope you enjoyed the move into Italy as much as the one to the Channel. Unfortunately, both moves are quite boring and not meant to stab. Not nearly as interesting as your moves. France -> All: With both Germany and England (and Turkey!) after me, I'm not long for this world. I will try to keep them busy...and I will make a fight of it. Any assistance would be appreciated. Germany ------- (Note from GM: the press I received from Germany was very garbled, probably due to a poor editor being used. I did the best I could with it. At the end of the press is the unadultered file I received from the Kaiser.) {Note from editor: This very garbled junk was removed from the published results as it did not look like it would be worth posting.} players: I will in July, and I will be back in the last week. Of course I want to continue this extremely exciting game you to keep you waiting because of me. England: I said that I would return appreciate If if you supported my swedish fleet into Fi dislodge it. (Yes, I am opening my back all you confusing and contradictory press.) I hope that you wont attack now at least. You seem to have enough to do in the Atlantic. Pretty good work done there, I must say. Actually I can't see any reason why you should walk in and out of North Sea in order to operate efficiently, if your intentions are not to attack Germany. More friendly stuff. Even if I own two fleets, (Three turns from your country coward) which is almost necessary to get StPetersburg, they are ineffective in conquer Russia. Therefore I strongly consider should let you get StPetersburg. (So please support my swedish fleet into Finland. There are two motives to get a grip on Russia, of course. But I will get rid of that Norwe army which is bugging me. So if I do not need another I think I will do it. This position, as the one in Belgium considered permanent, (probably) if we are to stay allies and continue to grow. France: What are you planning now. think that this will succeed () . Maybe, we will see. But please reread my press from fall 1902. OK, I admit. I have (A little) But thats nothing compared with you. The difference is that you havent succeeded. Is my press difficult to understand () My english is not that is it () Anyway, I think my press is rather clear. I just want you to understand that I can't think of another thing than an attack on me with four amrys crowding it is a waste. I should stop now before I try to sound like Turkey. Actually, I am a little worried about your army in Piedmont. I'd think that you would do that. Italy: Sooner or later we will have to discuss. Austria: Although I am strictly neutral to your mess down there, with Turkey as some sort of Libya, I feel sorry for ally now (question mark)) DRussia: Now when you did not get to Budapest you can copun attacking Warsaw. I thought that I should not let such a change make me a rich Kaiser. I never trusted Turkey when he said that he wouldn. Hey, now I am absolutely wrong. You would have get a build you took Budapest. And you would have built it in Warsaw of course. To much dreams I suppose. Turkey: Envy Italy ----- Italy -> France: Not a stab??? You use the English language in a way which is totally unknown to me. Italy -> Russia: I should have supported you into Budapest. I think I can do it next spring. Italy -> Turkey: It seems that you want to be my enemy. Russia ------ Russia-> France: I'll support you into Tyrolia. Germany can use a little pressure. Russia->Italy: Don't waste a unit supporting France, I'm doing it. I do want you to put a little more pressure on Austria. Otherwise, I'm going to be knocked out of the game and if you think Turkey would make a reliable ally, I suggest you devote a little time to looking at the last couple of years worth of play. Russia->World: Remember this: >>>England -> Russia: Sorry, but Germany is more important to me now >>>than you are. From my moves, though it should be obvious that I'm >>>not out Russian hunting. (I would be in the Barents see if I was.) (England, Spring 1902) Remember this: >>>A Nwy - StP FAILS (England, Fall 1902) Sort of makes you want to go out and place your trust in England, doesn't it? (Think about this one, Germany... this is your only ally right now). Turkey ------ Turkey -> All: I am going to try and make this shorter for a change. Turkey -> France: HOWLLLL!!!! HOWLLLL!!!! Piedmont DMZ!!!! HOWLLLL!!!! DMZ Violation score: France 2, Turkey 1. Now who's the slimiest? Turkey -> England, Germany: Impressive fishing. Turkey -> All: Well, I guess I'll have to avoid being eliminated since Larry won't let me continue talking if I die. I have more fun writing press than I do watching all the units move around... Oh, I have a question for everyone. Doesn't anyone trust me? What have I done that is so terrible? I have helped a neighbor in need, staved off a potential threat, and asked for safe passage in order to pay a visit to someone. Turkey -> Russia: So, I am a jerk. You would probably like to call me a lot worse. I am willing to call off the dogs if you leave Austria alone. Make me an offer on how we should cooperate. And I am serious. I don't want to see you run into the ground. Calhamer designed this game with the intent that ideal play = no one gets eliminated. That is why I am helping Austria. That is why I am willing to help you. One more attack on Budapest though, and you can forget about my help. Turkey -> Italy: I realize that you are being kind to me and concentrating on Austria. I hope that I am not upsetting you terribly by trying to help Austria. I have no intention of getting into your boot. I would like to see you withdraw from Austria, the three of us form an alliance, and deal with what comes our way. My request for safe passage wasn't a joke, nor a deflection of my true aims. France has screwed around to the point of being in real trouble, and when France goes, you know who is next. I don't particularly like France at the moment, but I don't want to see him get eliminated either. It looks like he is going to need some help. And I hope that you don't get too upset with the advice that I am about to give Austria, but if you won't withdraw on your own, I am at least going to give him advice and support his defense. I said this once before, I am not going to participate in the destruction of Austria. Or Italy, for that matter. We can do some good things together. I wouldn't want France as my only ally, if I were you. He's jumped into Piedmont without asking and actually hurt his defense in the process. If he disbanded Paris instead of Piedmont, he won't be able to support Burgundy. His front may collapse. Turkey -> Austria: Well, I didn't make it to the Ionian, and Italy got his army into Albania. Shucks. The next turn is going to be a real crap shoot down here in the Balkans. Depending on the orders, either you or Italy could wind up with a unit disbanded. I am going to order the same thing that I did last time, so if you want to support F Eas-Ion, go ahead. I would appreciate it. However, if you have better things to do, by all means go ahead. I do not want to make demands of you. I have sent this winter press in without studying the board very thoroughly. I'm going to ping the Ionian again and try to support you from the rear. I'm going to watch Russia and see if he cooperates for a change. So my orders will be: F Eas-Ion F Aeg S F Eas-Ion I don't want your balls in my hands. Your friendship is sufficient. You and I both have better things to do than fight each other. I have no intention of hitting you. I know things were kind of confusing last turn when I was proposing friendship to everyone. I wouldn't have been surprised to see you turn on me and fire off a preemptive strike. Hopefully you won't do this to me. I have your best interests in mind. What we need to do is get you a fourth sc and manage to have one of your home centers vacant at the same time. It may take awhile, but I think we can do it. Russia and/or Italy will have to help out at some point. They can't keep this up forever.
