England ------- -> Germany: Good Luck -> France: If I stop beating on you now, I'll have gotten nothing for my efforts. If you want to offer something? Say The Iberian peninsula, in exchange for peace, I might be willing to talk. But can I trust you? -> Turkey: A wicked witches alliance. Interesting, but I don't think Germany will like it. France ------ France -> Germany: Okay, I decided that our bashing is rather counter- productive. Since you offered to reduce the hostilities between us, I decided to take you up on it. Therefore, I am pulling back from my positions on Germany, and would like to stop our mutual agressions or lack of agressions or whatever you'd like to call them. You were right, and I was wrong, and I'm retreating. I will not attack German territory if you agree to the same with regard to France. Thanks for the offer. Comments? France -> Italy: Pardon me...I'm moving back through the north of Italy. Please ignore my foolish attempts in the area. France -> All: Indecision.... Germany ------- Germany -> England: I made the moves you suggested. Let's see how they work. Germany -> Austria: Let me know if/when you want me to support you into Vienna. Italy ----- Italy -> Austria: hmmm.... Italy -> England: When you are on the Mediterranean I will help you against Turkey if I am still in the game. Italy -> Germany: Could you use my army in Trieste against your enemies before it is destroyed? I could support you into Vienna, for example; it is better that you get it instead of Turkey. Italy -> Turkey: Nice try from you, too. Shoud I really move my fleets westward and let you take my home centers? Russia ------ The Czar and King "Screwie Louie" XIV of France announced the League of Despondant Heads of State this Monday before a smug Europe. Quoth the czar, "Death to swinish Turks, Brits, Germs and Austs." (Germs? wondered the Italians, thinking perhaps they were the target of that comment) Turkey ------ Turkey -> All: Come on guys! The world is turning black and blue! Turkey -> Austria: If this weren't gunboat, I could have told you to not waste your Gal support order. I couldn't go to Vienna or I'd screw up my Moscow attack. And given all the English threats, it was this turn or never. Hopefully I am in a position to help you from Albania now. Next turn I'll support A Ser-Tri. I also moved F Aeg-Ion again. If it didn't work, I'll try again next turn. I suspect Italy tried to keep me hemmed in, so going to Albania seemed the best way to help. I had to move F Con-Bla just in case the Russian slipped into Ukr and could threaten Rum. I'd like to say that time is on our side, but I'm afraid that Italy is going to cause us all to get crushed by the oncoming southbound train. Turkey -> Italy: Notice that I didn't attack you. I told you I want peace. You've got to get out of Austria and help us against what is rolling our way. I suggest the following: A Tri-Vie. This doesn't change your sc total, but it would help Austria and also allow you to help defend against the Germans. Austria could throw some support from Budapest on this, if he feels like it. This would show some desire on your part to cooperate with Austria. You have been begging to help Austria, so here's your chance. Meanwhile he can move Serbia into Trieste. You HAVE to make a good will gesture in order to win our favor. Proposing an alliance against me doesn't qualify. You're the godfather, you should know how to treat people with respect. Italy, head north and west. I will not touch a single one of your supply centers. You may not believe a word I am saying, but just review the press over the past few seasons. England is BEGGING you to not trust me. Why? Because he knows that you are doing him a favor by keeping Austria and I preoccupied. When France goes, England will repay this favor by attacking you. Are my words falling on deaf ears? Send France some fleet help and head north to ward off the Krauts. France will disband Tyrolia first, and then you won't have him helping to defend you. Get out of Austria, and I'll withdraw my fleets back toward my shores. This is a serious offer. Comments? Oh, you cried for help. This was my offer. Do you think anybody else will be able to come to your rescue? France is in no position. Neither is Austria, thanks to your probing finger. There comes a time when you just have to grab the bull by the tail and face the situation. And if dealing with me is that unpleasant, perhaps you should give it some serious thought for a change. What lies ahead will be even more unpleasant. Turkey -> France: What a mess. Disband Tyrolia first. Austria and Italy will pick up the defense against the Germans in that area. Your ally, Italy, is doing nothing but win this game for the English and Germans. You and Italy are allied. Austria and I are allied. The four of us need to team up now before it is too late. Please try to talk some sense into Italy's head. Turkey -> Germany: Please watch England. He is eyeing the vacant Denmark and Sweden with bad intentions. Turkey -> Russia: That's OK. I don't want to ally anymore. Sorry. Keep your units to yourself. Turkey -> England: We started out with friendly fishing lessons, and now all we do is jab at each other in the press. Once you get through with France, what say you team up with Austria and me and meet somewhere on the board? You can't keep up this great coordination forever. And pretty soon the man with the confusing press will be back. You guys haven't had anything too serious to haggle over yet. Just wait until it gets even more complicated. Stab him! Stab him! France will help. I'll help. The whole world will help! Stamp out gibberish! ANONYMOUS: ---------- none.
