Fall '10 of the game DAWN PATROL (BNC number 1989II) (GM is sinhaa@mcmaster.ca/Anand Sinha) Due Aug 30. Autumn '06 of the game BERLIN (BNC number 1989KQ) (GM is cwekx@htikub5.bitnet/Constantijn Wekx) Date: 29-AUG-1990 14:39 MET Yo folks! The retreats! I haven't received the adjustment from Austria yet, but found out (after having analysed the situation for hours) that it doesn't matter actually. First retreat to Bud and build in Vie (the only possibility) or disband Bud and build in both Vie and Bud (what else?). So, according the golden retreat rule (which tells me that in this game everybody has retreated so far, and none of you dared to disband if not necessary) I will retreat Ser to Bud. Players! Compliments! (*) Correction after an official protest. The press! President Quayle, having completed his much needed vacation to London (With a side trip to the Welsh countryside!) is now anxious to get back to the work of running his country. (And we do mean running!) His first proposal was to move the capital again, this time to Lisbon. "While Madrid is a fine city, Lisbon has much more to offer as a seat of government," stated President Quayle, "The people are nicer. The summers are better. They speak better Iberian." It is this reporter's opinion that the two main features of Lisbon are it's lack of German or Italian troops and it's nearness to South America France to Russia: And the race is on!! Who will be the first to shuffle off this mortal coil?? Place your bets now!! God to All: Send your bets in along with your spring moves! ;) Quote! Quote was taken from "The Journey of the Magi" - T.S. Elliott (one of my favorites!). The deadline! Spring '07: Next Monday at 7:00 am MET. (Moscow) After nine years of war, the Russian Czar has welcomed the initiative to settle all disputes. He has sent out his representatives to all civilised nations to express his willingness to agree on all peace terms presented in the A/E/G/R peace proposal. "This bloody war has cost too much... The Russian people are longing for peace and besides... the Russian empirial family can use some extra spare time as well." A political spokesman of the Czar however, warned, for an escalation in this war, if the peace proposal would get rejected by some irresponsible govern- ments. A new Russian military intervention within two years could be the result of it. Asked for the Russian plans in case of a continued war in Europe, he denied any rumors about an Austrian campaign. "Austria has showed to be a trustworthy ally against Turkey. Once Turkey's got defeated we will work on an arrangement to get our forces into striking position against a third state." Paris Francois Pomme de Terre, Emperor of the French people, has called upon all civilised nations to assist him in the destruction of the English Empire. "Once they have finished their campaign in France, they will direct their forces against others. Please don't let it come that far." "Especially Germany and Russia should think about this now. Or it'll be too late for them as well." ******************************************************************************** Summer'10 is due NOW Fall'10 is due monday September 3. Thank you.
