Greetings,
     I am looking for up to five players for a brand new Birthright:
Ruins of Empire PBEM game.  The setting will be straight out of the
campaign box with a just a few house rules and will be based in
Anuire. You will need the campaign setting or one of the player's
secrets expansions in order to play.  If you play a pre-existing
character then you will start with that character's bloodline and
statistics. If you choose to roll-up your own character then you will
need to start at level one.

The combat system for this game will be different from the one in the
normal tabletop game.  I will be using straight offensive and
defensive values for the units that will be modified by leadership,
terrain, magic, and other variables. This will be explained as the
game progresses.

The large NPC kingdoms and awnsheghlien are not available to players
but if you would like to play the heir or a lieutenant of one of these
kingdoms that would be considered. If you want to play a non-regent
character such as Shaemes Lavalier or Nadia Vasily that will be
considered but you will almost undoubtedly be attached to one of the
regent character's storylines in that case. I will also consider
mercenary groups if you want to create one of those.  Basically if you
can make a decent character with an interesting storyline that will
fit in then I will think about it.

For character generation, you may play any of the standard races in
Cerilia other than half-elf. If your character would normally be a
half-elf such Guilder Kalien then you will need to choose whether the
character is a human or an elf. This is a house rule and I have my own
reasons for it. If you absolutely must be a half-elf, we can discuss
it. Do not do any statistic rolling until I have approved your
character. For character approval I will need a short two or three
paragraph story showing how you intend to roleplay the character. I am
not going to make a website for this game and I intend to handle
everything through e-mail. Websites take up time that I would rather
spend creating storylines. All e-mails will go through me with no
direct player to player game contact. That way I can monitor
everything that is going on and add or change things as necessary. I
am going to try weekly turns but I will attempt to update character to
character messages, etc., daily.
