[PBEM News] The Lands of the Black Sea (2nd Edition)

The Lands of the Black Sea is a 2nd Edition AD&D campaign based on
an older 1st Edition campaign that was run for about 6 years back in
the late 1980�s.  Old characters have returned as NPC�s, and events
have occurred to change the political and cultural landscape.  Check
out the website to see the current posts.

I�m currently running 2 games in this campaign; I have an openings for
players in both games. The two games are not  playing the same
adventure, but will rather be adventuring in parallel in two
different areas at the same time.

Currently there are openings for several players.  If you would like
to play an existing player, the following are open.

Barnabus/Human/Cleric
Hallurnas/Half-Elf/Fighter

If you would prefer to create an original character, Please follow the
instructions below.  I'll most likely start off with a short series of
posts via private email before officially accepting new players (a
test drive, if you will).  Right now, Game 1 is light on mages, and
game 2 has no theives.

Game details: We try to post at least once every 3 days; If this is
too fast or too slow, this is probably not your game.  We do go
faster occasionally (as player posting allows).

The emphasis will be on role-playing and storytelling; I will take
care of rolling the dice.  If you need more than 50% hack and slash,
this is not your game.  it's there, but it is not the main point.

New Characters: Send me a character sketch (say about a half page to a
page) with motivations, description, history, personality, etc. etc.;
I'll tailor this to the campaign and return to you.  For purposes of
what is available: nearly all earth archtypes (european, middle
eastern, asian, african) are found here, as well as Dwarves (mountain
only, no variants), Elves (Grey and High - both are very rare and
there are already some in the campaign, so I'd prefer no more);
Gnomes (standard); Halflings (standard); and Half-Orcs (standard).
Keep it very basic - if it works, I'll send you a short campaign
summary so we can flesh out the backstory.

Once we've determined that your character is a good fit, I'll ask you
to prepare a full character sheet with ability scores, spells, etc.

We will be using a Yahoo! Group
(http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/blacksearpg/) to conduct the
updates and responses, in general.  If you are interested, you can
review the postings on the Yahoo! Group (which are open to all).
