CALL FOR PLAYERS/ALTERNATES From: chupp@athena.cs.uga.edu (Sam Chupp) Date: Fri, 12 Apr 1991 20:49:09 +0000 ATTENTION: Recently, a system crash has caused me to lose the data file that I had stored all Alternates information for my PBEM RPG, "The Hunted." If you remember sending a character idea in to me when I originally opened the game, and if you remember getting a piece of mail from me saying that you were on the alternate list, please send me brief mail saying who you are, what kind of character you wish, a brief paragraph about the character (character history, etc.) and whether or not you will be available over the Summer months. (Some people lose their Net access during those months due to the fact that they are students.) CALL FOR NEW ALTERNATES/PLAYERS: Because we have lost a few players due to the fact that they are losing their Net access for whatever reason, I am opening up the gates and calling for character ideas from people interested in playing my game. I am playing AD&D 2nd Edition. You send me your character ideas, and if I make you an active player, I will send you your "character sheet" along with a detailed background. The game is basically a grand chase. You are being hunted by a powerful semi-deity. However, he is a sportsman and has his own rules. He is hunting you. You are 8-11th level, with a modicum of magic items. All player characters have special telepathy necklaces that enable them to speak to each other constantly (thus you can interact with the other players on the Net whenever you wish). The game emphasizes creative thinking, role-playing, and problem-solving. There will be seven "sectors", each with a different challenge. If you are interested in participating, please send me e-mail. You must include: Your name, your character's name, the class you want, the race you want, the level you want, any magic items you really want, what kind of Net access you have (permanent, temporary, or semi-permanent) and a brief paragraph telling me what your character is like. Finally, you must be have time to play! Playing doesn't take but a few minutes every other day, and turns are due weekly. I try to have people send turns on Friday and I get them back to the players by Tuesday. Thank you for your time. Sam Chupp Up
