PBM Game List From: bigmac@erg.sri.com (Bryan McDonald) Date: Tue, 12 Mar 1991 22:33:59 +0000 Hi, Well, here is the first posting of the PBM list I offered to keep. I got a couple of initial entries as well as adding a couple I am in. I added a few entries, and allowed 4-5 lines of description and opinion just to keep it from becoming a new language of shortened words. I have two sections, one for commercial games and one for our network PD games. The non-commercial list is going to be tricky, as these games tend to pop up and vanish with little notice, but I will give it a shot. I will be adding a date into each of the non-commercial games, and when that date rolls around I will contact the GM. If I get no response the game gets yanked. Otherwise I will be keeping a list of many dead games. If the GM's of these games see their date approaching, it would be great if they contacted me on their own. Also, I need addresses for the three mags below, as well as any others you may know about. Finally, who is going to Origins this year? As a holder of the copyright I am allowing unlimited distribution as long as it is not for profit.] This list is hopefully as up to date as I can keep it. If you spot errors, please let me know. And if you have an opinion, send it in, but please, try to format it as I have below, no more the 80 characters per line. Thanks. Opinions: Woring towards being the best of its class, the NEB is still very young, and Ground Parties still in play test. This is a game for the long haul, and will see some nice flexibility in as players get comfortable. (Bryan McDonald, bigmac@erg.sri.com) Company: Orpheus Publishing Co. P. O. Description: Players run Time Traveler characters stuck in a world with very different rules. Role Playing amongst players is the emphasis, as is team playing. Opinions: 1)Best RPG I have seen on the market. The GM is highly involved and cares about his game and that his players enjoy it. This game is definitely for people wanting to role play with others, not against the game itself.
