Need players : Pleasantville & Attack of the Mutants From: melvin@isis.cgd.ucar.edu Date: Mon, 13 May 1991 16:25:24 +0000 They've Invaded Pleasantville is an old 1981 'packet' game from TSR Hobbies which is particularly suited to play-by-mail. One player takes control of the aliens who are trying to convert all the people in Pleasantville into mindless slaves -- the other plays the group of Townspeople who are trying to save the town. Attack of the Mutants is an old ?Album? game from I don't know when which epitomizes some of the sci-fi horror flicks of the '60s (a la the early Dead movies). Mutants from a nearby nuclear accident have surrounded the science lab on campus and are trying to force their way in. Inside, the good-natured scientist Dr. Whatsisname is torn between trying to communicate with the mutants and devising a time-dimension traveller to allow them to escape. (This description is somewhat inaccurate -- I don't have the box in front of me). AotM is also suited to the double-blind aspect of pbem and is also two player. I'm looking for players for both of these games. Being somewhat of a novice at running pbem, I'm only going to run one of each game, so I'm not looking for lots 'o' players (yet). Both games are fairly simple, so there's no need to have a copy of the rules in order to play. If you are interested, mail me at melvin@ncar.ucar.edu. Even if I can't use you in these games, I'll keep a copy of the list of players for later games.
