SPARF Team Listings From: nicholso@pioneer.arc.nasa.gov (Melvin H. Nicholson YBH) Date: Wed, 24 Jul 1991 19:40:18 +0000 The following list is a complete listing of all the teamnames for the rosters I have received. If you sent a roster and your name does *NOT* appear on the following list, then mail me another copy *REAL* soon, as I am now going to finalise the league division, and there will be little room for additions after that is done. If you submitted a roster but want out, the same thing applies. Mail me before I make up a schedule that includes you so that I won't have to make another one. This is also a real good time to catch me if I have mispelled your name (this list was created manually) Manager Teamname Home City --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Van Boughner California Sluggers Santa Cruz, CA, USA Mitchell Diamond The Cifers Rochester, NY, USA Timothy Astley Pacifica Tigers Pacifica Jeff Berry The Black Plague Pembrookton Jeff Bailey New York Avengers New York, NY, USA Boris Majowski Berlin Maniac Warriors Berlin, GER Michael Sargent Pinyin Mandarins Taipai, PRC Francois-Dominic Laramee Montreal Maulers Montreal, Que, CAN Ken Coomes Thunderbolts Seattle, WA, USA Andy House Political Bastards Washington, D.C., USA Rob Steele Gfhter's Giants Kitchner, Ont, CAN Steven Klocek Viking Raiders Oslo, NORWAY Ollie Juang CSUA Berkeley, CA, USA Ravi Iyer Columbus Crunch Columbus, Ohio, USA Terril Ray Manix Maulers Barstow, CA, USA Peter Lewis Newcastle Novas Newcastle, AUS Tim Newell The Mythstics Brain, IMAG Bob Slaughter The Followers of Arf-do Secret City, USA Steven Weidner China Khans Seoul, KOREA Michael Cummings Kotzebue Xenophobes Kotzebue, Alaska, USA Jason Hayward Armidale Dragons Armidale, AUS That make a total of 21 teams listed in the order the rosters were received. There are a few unfulfilled IOU's still pending, so there may be some teams materializing as a result of lost mail, et cetera. I am now compiling all the team description text and a help file for submitting training schedules and lineups. Also, by this weekend, you will receive a team roster (as of after the computer read it) for your last minute review to catch any gross errors. Here are the formatting mistakes that came up most frequently in the rosters: 1) Extra return characters. The computer uses the return character to delimit names, so a blank line will be read as the name "" by the computer. I deleted these manually, but for future forms urge that they not be included at all. 2) Omission of "start" and "end". Not much to say, but the program really needs the keywords to cut away the mail header and to seperate the press. Thanks to all of you who got your rosters in and I look forward to a great season.
