Chapter Two From: loeb@geocub.UUCP (Daniel LOEB) Date: Tue, 02 Jul 1991 13:24:24 +0000 Issue #246 of Chapter Two of the Electronic Protocol By Daniel Loeb (loeb@geocub.greco-prog.fr) June 28, 1991 ------------------------------------------------------------- Electronic Protocol Games played on the Diplomacy Adjudicator ------------------------------------------------------------- *** ISSUE AND CHAPTER NUMBER *** You may have noticed that the Chapter number has been changed here while the Issue name increased by a huge bound. The reason for all that is so that my issue number correspond to the rest of the Electronic Protocol, and that the Chapter numbers are consecutive. *** VACATION *** Your friendly editor will be out of town (and have little net access) for most of July. Please volunteer to take over this chapter if you can. Also volunteer if you can take over any of my games listed below. *** BANDITOS *** The black press game Banditos has started see below for details. There are now no "standard" games starting up on the Judge under EP rules (with a moderator, that is to say)... Please volunteer if you want to start a game. **** HOW TO ANNOUNCE A POSITION OR GAME **** Ken Lowe has informed me that it is bad etiquette to announce openings for one game by popping into another and leaving press. Messages in each game should be reserved to that game alone. To find extra players, send me an article to include in Chapter Eight, and I will send it out immediately. Moreover, write to Eric Klien since he maintians a list of backup players. If you are a player interested in finding out about replacement positions, I commend you. You are filling a needed role in the Diplomacy community. You should read below to find out about openings. Also, you should subscribe to CONTROL (a non-listed pseudo game) to get news of any openings as they appear. signon ?control <password> **** LIST OF OPEN POSITIONS ON THE DA **** Please volunteer to fill any open positions listed below. Contact me or the GM or send a LIST <game> command to the JUDGE for more details. REPLACEMENT PLAYERS NEEDED: fontenoy(Q-Mar,T-Nap,Y-Rum,9-War) portnoy (Germany 5/5) GAMES IN FORMATION: cannes, eylau, hastings, iena, 7senuf, tricky **** LIST OF EP GAMES ON THE DA **** Here is an update on game played on Judge. I'm listing the status of each game not only for this week but for the last several weeks, so that you can see not only where the game is, but how fast it is moving.
