I was overwhelmed at work today and then afterwards, I had forgotten about things. Thanks to France for the inquisitive note on the turns. Hope my tardiness didn't cause any undue nail biting. Anyway, on to business...Austria's F Ion was the only unit displaced this turn, and his fleet may disband or retreat to EMe, Gre, or Apu. As soon as I have this retreat, I will publish updated results, so stand by for that. Once I get this move from Austria, I will set the Fall 1907 deadline. As always, press and editorials for Summer 1907 season are welcome! **************** Press: Paris Gazette ------------- Mutinous field commanders of both French and English forces seem to have finally been brought under reign. Confusion in the military ranks recently broke out when English units moved against French holdings. London officials claimed that certain commanders acted completely on their own and without the knowledge of higher authority. Be that as it may, their initial successes so incensed French field commanders that without regard to temporizing orders from Paris, the French commanders "moved pell-mell" against their English counter-parts. In the mean time, the ferocity of these military attacks have been matched only by the ardent negotiations of French and English diplomats in an effort to correct the recent military developments. Announcements today make it appear that such efforts have been successful and that the mutinous field commanders of both nations have either been replaced or brought back under the control of their superiors. Although Belgium is expected to remain under French control, government critics point out that Brest is still occupied by an English Army and supported by an English fleet in the English Channel. These developments underscore the fact that the Paris- London negotiations have been quite secretive and the details of the peace arrangements have not been made known. ============================================================================== Blitzkrieg II -- Summer 1907 ============================================================================== Blitzkrieg II -- Summer 1907 "War is nothing but the continuation of politics with the admixture of other means." -- Karl von Klausewitz *************** Austria (Tom Goodwin)......Retreat F Ion-Gre *************** Supply Centers: Total/(Units Owned)/Status Austria: Bud, Vie, Tri, Gre, Ser, Rum, 12 (12) Bul, Con, Ven, Mun, Sev England: Lon, Lvp, Edi, Nwy, Kie, Swe, 11 (11) Den, Hol, StP, Ber, Bre France: Bel, Par, Mar, Por, Spa 5 (5) Italy: Rom, Nap, Ank, Smy, Tun 4 (4) Russia: Mos, War 2 (2) *************** Unit Positions -- Summer 1907: Austria: F Aeg, A Ank, A Mun, A Alb, A Sev, A Tyr, A Ven, F Gre, A Sil, F Adr, A Pie, A Gal England: F Ber, F Bal, F GoB, F NtS, F ECh, A Kie, A StP, A Hol, A Pru, A Bre, A Lon France: A Bur, A Ruh, F GoL, F MAO, F WMe Italy: F Ion, A Rom, F TyS, F Nap Russia: A Mos, A War *************** GM Notes: Fall 1907 turns are due Friday, August 9th, at 1 pm. Austrian A Smy was listed as being in Ank. I don't think this affected anyone's orders, though, and the unit positions list should now stand correct. There was also an error in the supply center listing in the Spring and Summer of this year, listing Ankara as being under Italian control instead of Austrian. His total number of supply centers (4) was correct, and so this error didn't affect anything either since the supply center list now stands corrected. Italian F Ion must disband or retreat to one of the following locations: EMe, Tun I will combine the Autumn retreat move with the Winter moves as usual, and the only orders I need this season are from Italy and Austria. If Italy chooses to disband rather than retreat F Ion, then I need Winter orders only from Austria; otherwise, Italy has a disband coming after his retreat. Austria and Italy are both currently on vacation, but I have conditional orders from Italy for the Winter move. As soon as Austria returns (Friday the 16th) and can turn in build orders for the Winter 1907 season, I'll publish the results and set a deadline for Spring 1908, which will probably be due sometime around the 23rd or 24th. ============================================================================== Blitzkrieg II -- Winter 1907 ============================================================================== Blitzkrieg II -- Winter 1907 "War is nothing but the continuation of politics with the admixture of other means." -- Karl von Klausewitz *************** Austria (Tom Goodwin)......Build F Tri Italy (Stewart Winter).....Retreat F Ion-Tun, Disband F TyS *************** Supply Centers: Total/(Units Owned)/Status Austria: Bud, Vie, Tri, Gre, Ser, Rum, Bul 13 (13) Con, Ven, Mun, Sev, Smy, Ank England: Lon, Lvp, Edi, Nwy, Kie, Swe, Den 11 (11) Hol, StP, Ber, Bre France: Bel, Par, Mar, Por, Spa 5 (5) Italy: Rom, Nap, Tun 3 (3) Russia: Mos, War 2 (2) *************** Unit Positions -- Winter 1907: Austria: F Aeg, A Smy, A Mun, A Alb, A Sev, A Tyr, A Ven, F Ion, A Sil, F Adr, A Pie, A Boh, F Tri England: F Ber, F Bal, F GoB, F NtS, F ECh, A Kie, A StP, A Ruh, A Pru, A Tus, A Lon France: A Bur, A Mar, F GoL, F MAO, F WMe Italy: F Tun, A Rom, F Nap Russia: A Mos, A War *************** GM Notes: Let's make the Spring 1908 deadline Friday, Aug. 23, at 1 pm PDT.
