I'm new to these newsgroups, so I didn't know if the light traffic here was typical, or it happened to be a light day when I looked in. I do agree that this newsgroup was dominated too much by Diplomacy, but that seems to have changed a bit since then. 2. I used to have the DM Handbook, but I loaned it to a friend at the Baltimore FtF and never got it back from him. Really the only thing I miss from it is the chart on how effective each weapon is against each type of armour (would you or someone else care to E-Mail it to me?). The section on character design is okay, but its outdated I think, and experimentation can get you better designs. 3. The idea behind writing my item here and possibly starting up a separate newsgroup eventually is to create a forum for discussing strategy as well as one to one communication by E-Mail (isn't that the whole idea behind newsgroups anyways?), so I think anyone with some questions ought to post something in order to get discussion going. In order to practice what I preach in point 3, what do any of you have to say on the subject of P-Strikes and P-Rips. I have had my most absolute failures as a manager with those two styles.
