Duelmasters: Wierd Striker From: hlavaty@crvax.sri.com ("James Hlavaty") Date: Tue, 19 Nov 1991 19:10:00 +0000 Here's a wierd Striker design I'm running. He's currently 4-5 in the initiates, which isn't great but almost .500 and he's a definite learner. ST 11 : Just right for his size (does Great Damage) CN 14 : Way too high but I was stuck with it! SZ 17 : Ditto. WT 17 : As high as I could make it. WL 7 : !!! I thought this would really hurt, but see below. SP 9 : Low breakpoint. DF 9 : Ditto. As I recall, I spent the 14 points mostly in Wit, splitting the rest up in WL and DF (with most of the extra in WL). In short, it wasn't a good roll-up but I was trying to experiment. My reasoning was based on the fact that I had seen a lot of Strikers last a long time (seven plus minutes) while swinging all the time. So I figured that if endurance was going to be a problem for a roll-up, make it a Striker. Also, with a big size if he hits first it should hurt! Turns out he has very little endurance, but since I run him 10-8-8 D his fights only last 1-2 minutes most of the time anyway (I don't use 10-10-10 D 'cause he gets tired in minute one when I do). I guess he'll probably not do well in AD, but I am hoping that the skills he learns will make him competitive for a while. And I feel like I made SOMETHING out of an otherwise DA roll-up.
