I've only run about 5 slashers in as many years, and those have been speed demons who have been eaten alive by defensive styles. I gave up on them as burning up endurance too fast to put an opponent down. However, yesterday I received a(nother abysmal) turn from Andor. My slasher there, with the remarkable stats of 11-10-9-17-9-17-11, recently got his second expert rating. Unfortunately, I didn't get expert Init on the roll- up (as the Wizard of Oz claims his design will get), but he did get it after 1. Not only that, he got Expert Decis in 1 or 2. That means 2 Advanced Masters (at least, still waiting for Riposte and Defense) by the time he maxes out on skills. His attack rating will suffer, and after maxing out on skills his ability to improve will not be very good, but in meantime he shows promise. Besides, the fastest anyone has ever maxed out was around 40 fights (plus gobs of tourney fights), and that's almost 2 years of play time. Checking my info, my slasher was slightly unlucky on his Init bonus (about 10% under what I expected), and right on for his Decis bonus. Since I consider 17's to be just about right when it comes to numbers (21's are wasting 4 points), there aren't a lot of ways to improve Decis, and Init isn't affected by WL until the "mega-trains." At 4-1 (lost to an 11-1 TP), it looks like another case of a style surprising me. Donald Trump Wizard of Oz writes... >ps - Donald Trump, did you know I have/had a team in arena 3 name Elite Cadre ? Nope. I imagined there might have been a couple, but hadn't ever heard of any, so I took the name. Sorry about that. Another manager took my _manager monicker_ and used it for a team name. He apologized when he realized his mistake. Ever hear of Riff-Raff in Delarq Tor (he even put the hyphen in. Geez!) That's an oolllldddd name of mine, which quite still know me by (well, everybody in AD. So far...) Up
