The Kaiser humbly requests the Czar to occupy Bohemia and Tyrolia in advance of the Catholic Crusaders. Summer 1907 LE PARISIEN French North Sea Fleet performs tactical retreat Edinburgh - After hard fighting the fourth French fleet under admiral Marcel Dingdong was forced by Russian forces to retreat into the harbour of Edinburgh. "This proves my concerns right!" the secretary of war, Matthieu de la Guerre, said, "unluckily much earlier than expected. Now we must fear a ruthless invasion of the French northern provinces by Russian killer commandos. But I'm sure that our brave seamen and soldiers will fight hard to hold onto their positions as long as they can. If only the Germans would see all the advantages that a cooperation with us would bring them!" French army climbing alps - Italy shows understanding Genoa - "We've climbed up to here, so why not climb a little further?" general Frederic Hulahup asked observers after he successfully ordered his third army to take over the positions of the third fleet, which had expanded the harbourof Genoa so successfully last year. "I am sure our Italian friends will give us their full support on our way north-east and will not give in to the temptation of a fruitless attack onto Trieste, which by any means could not succeed anyway. On the other hand, once a French army is in Tyrolia, France and Italy together can perform some interesting things onto the Russia aggressors. Especially if the Italian navy secures the Adriatic Sea, future joint operations might be very successful! Of course I wish my Italian comrades in the Holy Land all the best, though I doubt a little whether they could gain any advantages. But I see the advantages of an Italian army in Armenia, hehe!" ===> GREY press: Washington (UPI) U.S. Navy officials have presented their analysis of the naval situation in northern Europe. They pointed out that the French navy will be thrown back into the Atlantic within two years, leaving the British Isles unprotected and therefore open to Russian invaders. They concluded that after the successful attack onto the North Sea this spring Russian fleets can successfully accomplish this task all by themselves, not needing any further German support, at least after next year's build of another fleet in Murmansk. Germany is expected to concentrate on coastal operations, e.g. regaining the full control of Holland and later Belgium. (Geneva) Rumors about secret meetings between German and French diplomats are spreading. It is said that German Kaiser Hans "Flotte" Verwicklung has recognized that Russia is much to near to a big victory than could be good for a neighbour of France. A German diplomat was cited saying "when France became too big, we switched sides and helped Russia to stop old king Louis. Now the Czar is becoming too big, so...". Inofficial French sources claimed that both countries have agreed upon areas of interest in northern Europe, which include Norway and Belgium on the French side and Holland, Denmark, Sweden and most of the Russian continental provinces on the German side. "I'm sure that France, Germany and Italy together can remove the Russians from the map, at least reduce them to a less frightening size, however it has to start soon or it may be too late!" a German diplomat explained. All rumors have been strongly denied by the German foreign minstry as well as by French foreign minister Cestbon. -- end press clippings ============================================================================= InterNet: Corey_Lynn_Nelson@cup.portal.com * That is the saving Office (510) 373-7638 CompuServe: 73617,3476 * grace of humor, if you fail Home (510) 455-1214 GEnie: c.nelson17 * no one is laughing at you. EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! EXTRA!!! FALL 1907 THE PAPAL BULL 250 Lira "Coming Soon: The JC Bull" POPE SADIS I KILLED IN COUP Vatican (VD) - Last night was a tense one as gunshots could be heard all around St. Peters, and as army wagons rumbled through the streets. But this moring Admirial JC declared that the coup was over and that he was the new leader of a military Junta. In a statement released by the Junta, the Admirial said that Pope Sadis the First was about to declare a unilateral peace in the face of the most awesome enemies Italy has ever faced. "We will not crumple up like some puny power,"said Admirial JC,"but instead will go down fighting all the way. Turkey, the infidels of the east must be destroyed, even at the cost of our nation. This shall be the last crusade." Ambassador Machiavelli was dispatched early this moring on a mission to Moscow of an unknown nature, although it is speculated that he will offer a portion of Turkey to Russia for helping with the crusade. Soon afterwards, Julius Caeser departed for the front, where he will lead the final assult. Fall 1907 LE PARISIEN French navy launches massive naval attack into the North Sea London/Edinburgh - In a joint operation of all four French fleets around the North Sea started an attack onto the Russian fleet that sneaked into it only few months ago. The outcome of the operation is still unknown, however heavy casualities on all sides are expected. Detailed information will be given in the next volume of this newspaper. Unsatisfying press volume in Europe continues Paris - Due to a lack of information exchange on side of the other European powers the French government has ordered a massive reduction of French press "until the other countries increase their press production to a minimum level". ==> Grey Press: Preperations Made for Final Assault Athens (IPS) - The troops at the front are still confident of victory over the Turks in this, our nations darkest hour, and are even willing to sacrifice their lives to obtain that victory. Legions of hot-air baloons and armoured cars rumble endlessly towards the front in preperation for the final assult, which is supposed to start early next year. Paris (IPS) - Ambassadors in Paris reassured the French regime that the sudden change of government in Italy would in no way harm any alliancxe the two powers have, and that President Admirial JC was a firm supported of the French people and the French culture. It is rumoured that the Franco-Italian Friendship Day will be held in France this year, however. We have heard, since then, of the death of Sadis in a bloody but well-intentioned junta led by Admiral JC. But what of poor Willy? Did he share Sadis gruesome fate? Fear not, brave reader, for I shall reveal all that has since befallen him. First, lest the suspense be too wrenching to bear, a word of comfort: the much-abused veterinrian is alive and well. Indeed, more well than he has ever been, at least in this short life. True happiness is granted to few, and seldom endures the turning of many seasons. Our tragic champion was happy only once before, during his ecstatic courtship of Mademoiselle Mimi Dusang, and the bitterness her betrayal shadowed his waking and dreaming for thirteen long years. But now, his bliss exceeds even the raptures of his youthful love, for his soul is at peace, and he is with sheep. Hold a moment; I spring too far ahead. Great was repentant Willhelm's suffering on his path to grace. But such was the wisdom of the late pope, that good at last triumphed over evil. When Sadis saw that Willhelm was truly sad in heart, greived in spirit, humble before God, and broken in mind, he devised a fitting penance. First, to enhance a correct attitude toward the One True Church, Willhelm was graciously permitted to thrust his sinner's hands into a cauldron of holy, boiling lead. This thrice over, for the blessed trinity. In a profound display of generousity, Sadis also allowed Willy to walk across a bed of white-hot coals, coals of holy cedar trees from Palestine. This twelve times for the twelve apostles. The ex-Kaiser was then sufficeintly mortified (sufficiently, I might add, only by human standards, for no finite amount of torture, when the pain is merely physical, impresses our Father in Heaven) that he was allowed to confess. And such a beautiful confession it was, my beloved audience, that St. Augustine himself could not have begged forgiveness for a more vile and heinous past, and Martin Luther would have cried tears of admiration. The chambers of the pope resounded with wails of anguish for two full nights, and the intervening day. I am sure that, in his sympathy for the sinner before him, the gentle Pope Sadis also suffered not a little. When at last morning broke on the second day, the famished Willhelm took his first communion from the pope's hands. Miracle of miracles! Joy of joys! He was healed! The confused babblings, the strange fits of rage, even the deadly AIDS virus, all vanished with a whisper of the Spirit. The ex-Kaiser was born again! Here, though it pains me dear reader, the story must hang suspended for now. The hour grows late, and my voice hoarse from the telling. Tomorrow night will be soon enough to hear the balance. Emerging Turkish High Commander, General Orhan Zadt, in a rare appearance proclaimed, "this is a great victory for all of Turkey. This is the beginning of the end for the infidel invaders." On his brilliant strategy the general commented, "The infidel's strategy was obvious! Either we had to break the convoy or be faced with greater forces in the fall." When asked about the remaining Italian forces in Armenia and Syria he emphatically stated, "They are nothing! They fight like little girls! We shall crush them like a ripe olive!." <cut> The Turkish High Command thanks the great Czar for the support into Greece and apologizes for the deception. It was necessary to avoid an otherwise dire situation to the south of Turkey. For the fall the Turkish High Command requests an attack of the Sevastopol fleet on Armenia and once again support into Greece. The Turkish High Command wishes to respectfully point out that support of two forces into Greece *may* be needed, and that it will be good to keep our Italian friend guessing. <cut> Summer 1907 LE PARISIEN French fleet performs tactical masterpiece Yorkshire - In a joint operation well planned by admiral Jean-Luc Glucgluc, commander of the French fleets, the Russian fleet that fled into Yorkshire after being defeated in the North Sea has been totally destroyed. "This is a markstone in our naval history," our beloved King Louis LXXV. commented, "and the evil czarist pirates didn't even make it into the North Sea! More- over their navy didn't even make it into Norway, haha!" A speaker has however warned that "it is too early for enthusiasm, there are much more threats to face!" Operations in western Austria continue Innsbruck (Tyrolia) - General Hulahup whose visit in Munich is claimed to have been at least a partial success has announced that "unless Germany shows signs of peace again, I'm seriously tempted to go there again. On the other hand, there is Trieste, a nice area to be in these days. Maybe with double Italian support from Venice and Greece we could make it... On yet another hand... Hmmm... We'll see what J.C. does and hope that his and our moves cooperate; this gives evil Russia something to think about anyway!" Cato had been bound for Syria when Turkish forces brutally savaged the Italian navy in the Eastern Mediteranian making it impossible for General Cato's forces to pass. (Currently, the whereabouts of the Italian navy are unknown.) Today, visibly shaken, Cato could only mutter, "they weren't there... first they were, then they weren't." Signs of civil unrest abound in Athens and around the countryside as the people of Greece, who had been glad to get rid of Cato, had been looking forward to the rumored arrival of valiant Turkish forces. Hope is not dead, though, for the people Greece, as they anticipate certain liberation by Turkish or Russian forces. <cut> White Press: Kaiser Verwicklung to the Czar: I am grateful for the support the white army in Bohemia provided for my endangered Munich garrison this spring. His mission, to sweep the Turkish fleets from the sea. In a blockde running action, Brutus swept eastward to relieve the beleaugered fleet on the coast of Turkey, but in the process, his flagship acidentally stuck a floating mine and sunk. When questioned about the incident, Brutus replied, "It's a good thing that the new Italian navy has started building their boats with glass bottoms. Now we can see where we are going, in addition to seeing the old Italian navy." As the dripping wet Brutus crawled out of the sea near the President, Julius Caeser inquired, "Et tu, Brutus?" towhich the only reply was a nod. <cut> Sabotaged Telegraph Lines Operational Again Rome(IPS) - Telegraph lines which were obviously sabotaged by Turkish spies last season have been returned to opperational status. This means in the future more as-it-happens reporting direct from the front lines of the Italo-Turkish war, and more press in general. We are sorry for the problems which were caused by this anarchistic attack, but it has been solved. <cut> Kaiser Verwicklung to the Czar: I am grateful for the support the white army in Bohemia provided for my endangered Munich garrison this spring. As cardinal Holigost put it: "We all like to see the poor misled Muslims returned to the One True Faith. It is important that they all come to heaven - the sooner the better!" Praying efforts in France were especially high since the fall of Italy would surely result in attacks upon France from the Med, just in a moment when the brilliant French manoeuvres in the North established a secure line of defense. <cut> ==> Grey Press: none -- end press clippings ============================================================================= InterNet: Corey_Lynn_Nelson@cup.portal.com * That is the saving Office (510) 373-7638 CompuServe: 73617,3476 * grace of humor, if you fail Home (510) 455-1214 GEnie: c.nelson17 * no one is laughing at you.
