BBK:

Loud singing and the merry sound of bottles clashing together was the
    the sounds that meat our reporter on his way to the player quarters on
    Plantage Alle, Bramming. The reason for this is, as the well-informed
    reader will know, the brilliant performance in session B. The manager
    Jesper L. said
      "Again this season we had 20 shots at the opponents goal, but, due
       to some serious training, we scored 4 goals instead of 2 as in last
       session. This, combined with the fact that we only allowed a single
       goal to pass, gave us 2 victories and one draw. I'm very pleased
       with this and I'm looking forward to the coming matches.
       In session C we are facing some tough opposition. First we will have
       the pleasure to host number 2, White Beach, in an exiting match,
       which I think we should be able to win. Especially if we can avoid
       those disciplinary problems we had in our match against Shamrock
       Rovers... What happened was that I had put Karl-Heinz Metzner
       on as midfield organizer, but our young (and very ambitious)
       midfielder Werner Liebrich knocked him down with a Getorade bottle
       before the match and took his place on field. Most shocking.
       But those problems should be solved now.
       The toughest match should be the one away against the Wizards,
       *currently* number 3. In that match I'm fielding a strong
       lineup and should get away with a couple of points. And with
       a good fight against the Saints another MVP should be on it's
       way to Bramming!
       I'm hoping to celebrate Christmas on the second place."
    Yes, it sure will be interesting to see if the MVP was just a matter
    of luck or the result of good management (*cough*). But fact is
    that Bramming Boldklub has not lost a shot statistic yet...

Before the first match of Session B coach Beenhakker was
quite optimistic. FI had to play Leuven FC who were at last
place with one victory and two defeats. Leuven's players
still showed up though, could it be that they wanted another
lesson in football? Well, to be honest, it was us who've been
taught a lesson. A match starts at minute ONE !!!!!!!
   When the referee blew the whistle most of our players were
not paying attention. Menzo was still repairing a hole in his
goal's net, Merciless found out he forgot to dress (running
naked in front of 18000 spectators, well, well), Cokadona
was dealing with some kind of white powder and the rest still
practiced the FI yell. Debenest had no trouble scoring the
first goal. At that moment Bonec Rusher finished to kiss
his wife George and was just in time to prevent Vandeweerd
from scoring the second one. One minute later H. Samsom missed
the empty goal (he must be VERY depressed by his name) and
Rusher kept FI alive when he stopped another shot by Samsom.
Bribing the referee was a good idea because he prevented not
to see Rusher using both of his hands. Finally the rest of the
team started to join the match and it paid off: One yellow and
one red card in three minutes time! Cokadona had to leave the
pitch, so he continued dealing powder with the home spectators.
   For the rest of the first half we had a clear advantage in
both chances (2-14) and goals (they scored one, we zilch).
So Leuven had some tea with a very lucky 2-0 lead, and we had
some water and bread while Beenhakker was crying in the
corner of the restroom: he sure needed some rest.
   In the second half Guybrush Threepwood started whining
about getting a pirate (?!) until keeper Donne promised him
to let one ball through if only he would stop. FI's
second goal of the season was a fact. Nice assist, Donne!!
The rest of the game is not worth mentioning: we were the only
team that attacked but we didn't score. But there was one nice
little incident. After 79 minutes of play Corleone told Samsom
that he had found Samsom's brains. Samsom, curious to know,
asked 'Where' and Corleone stuck his finger right in his left
eye. Nice going, Cor, maybe you will become Godfather after all.
That was a very gentle 'favor'.
If you want to know about the rest of the games, well, they were
too boring to watch: two times 0-0 in true FI tradition. Next
time we'll get you Leuven, next time ...

Welcome back to Bordeaux the town at the edge of the Gironde. People are
delighted after the success of the football team in the last session, just
one loss and not at Parc fortunately. Four points out of six with two solid
home victories therefore I went out to the Castle of la Haillan with hope of
more good news for the fans of the team even those who did not show up at Parc,
after all the Parc can't take the whole population.
There were quite a few supporters outside the camp and some of them had left
their old Marine and White scarves at home and instead invested in the new ones
with our famous wine colour. I asked them what they thought:
Interviewer : You seem to be a lot more happy now than you were after session
  A?
Supporter : Yes, of course. After Session A we hadn't won, now we have
  won two games! We will go on and win at home!
Interviewer : But, will not this week be tougher, two games on the road?
Supporter : Oh well, we are some 1000 who will go by bus up there to cheer
  for them and then they will take it all home. We plan to visit both Meppen
  and Leuven before the return home to see them cream that island team!
Interviewer : What do you expect in points from Session C?
Supporter : Four, five points, at least. We are going towards the top, we
  are the mighty Girondins of Bordeaux ...
Here they started to shout and chant and I left them and went into the
stadium. Luckily, I saw Ernst there and since I interviewed him last, I thought
it would be a good idea to do it again.
Interviewer : Ernst, you were right that you would take your first win. You
  actually won two! What's your comments?
Ernst : Oh well, I'm not too surprised, the team have capacity to beat
  everyone in the league and we are going upwards. It's too early to say if
  we can go the whole way...
Interviewer : You scored a goal too. Any comments to that?
Ernst : I'm glad that I have shown our fans that I can score, hopefully
  it wasn't my last one. But, the man of that game against the Italians was
   indeed Bernard!
At that time, Bernard Gimenez arrived and just caught these words.
Gimenez : You are saying too much Ranier (sic!)! If they hadn't a complete
  team we would never score.
Interviewer : But, you actually set up two of the goals.
Gimenez : I had the luck to do so. I hope the fortune will be with me
  again this coming session.
Interviewer : Your problem seems to be playing away from home. You went
  down to the mighty Bramming. Any solution to that?
Gimenez : Bramming did play with their best players against us and we
  were not fully aware of their strength at the time. They are a really good
  team. I expect better results this time, our opponents on the road are not
  as good as Bramming even if they surely will do their best.
Interviewer : Hello there Hedlundh come to us, tell us some words!
Manager : Yes, what have you to ask this day then?
Interviewer : You played well at home. Will you continue with that?
Manager : Well, we will try our best to do that, indeed.
Interviewer : But, you haven't won away, yet. When will you overcome that
  problem?
Manager : Hopefully, very soon. I hope that we will do it this wekend, but
  you never know. It's an old funny game, you know.
Interviewer : Anyway, I wish you all the best on the trip!
Manager : I thank you, I will tell the players that. I hope some of our great
  supporters will follow us. And then, I hope they turn up for the game
  against the Faroese, they are a difficult team to beat.

During the forthcoming festive season, the players of Plymouth Argyle
will certainly not be idling. No; instead, a very special mission awaits
them. They will journey to Greenland, and carry out voluntary work for
none other than................Father Christmas!!
  "Yes, there's a lot of running around and things to do up here, and I
thought the lads of Plymouth would fit the bill nicely," said Mr.
Christmas yesterday from his grotto. "The goalkeepers, Geoff Crudgington
and Dave Philp, will be given the job of catching the toys as they fly
out of our machine. It goes a bit haywire sometimes. I'm afraid my elves
didn't have either the height or the handling skills necessary."
  Aha! So you use machines now, Mr. Christmas?
  "Yes, we have to keep up with the times. Unfortunately, they're not
too reliable, and keep breaking down. Then we have to kick start them,
and ace strikers of the calibre of Steve Cooper and Andy Rogers can
certainly give it a whacking!"
  How about Argyles' powerhouse midfielders?
  "Well, I'm afraid the Christmas Eve run is getting a bit too much for
Rudolph and the gang - they are getting on a bit. To help them out, we
will operate a shift system, with Mark Rowe and co. taking turns with
the reindeer."
  But none of the players has a red nose!
  "No, but the manager, Mark Brewer, has been known to have the odd
drink, so his nose is usually bright red."
  And I think that leaves the defence...
  "They will be helping out with the Committee for Deciding Whether a
Child has been Good or Bad."
  Why have they been chosen?
  "Because as defenders, they're best at 'marking'.........."

When the goings get tough.........

they playing the league leaders and two other top teams but they are also
moving to their new stadium in Ballsbride in south Dublin. The move was
made necessary after their old stadium was sold to property developers by
ex-owner Louis Kilcoyne. After renting a stadium from arch rivals Bohemians
on the north side for the past two years the famous green and white HOOPS
of Shamrock Rovers are back on the southside. This comes only a short while
after their entry into the new EEFL and Rovers are now considered one of the
top clubs in the country. Manager Philip Thompson had this to say -
" We are hoping for a huge home crowd in our first match which is against the
league leaders Valencia Fireworkers. They have been going very well and have
the best striker in the entire league in my opinion. He took a rest in their
last match so unfortunately for us he should be fighting fit. We will be hoping
for a draw against them and also away to the Islanders but I hope to destroy
Leuvan when they visit us in match 3."
  Shamrock Rovers Supporters Club issued the following notice for all who will
be attending Rovers matches in the Royal Dublin Society, which is also used for
international show-jumping tournements.

1. REFEREES - In view of the abysmal standard of refereeinf in the EEFL it is
important that you should accept all decisions that go against us in good faith.You should always bear in mind that their incompetence is the norm rather than
the exception and usually evens itself among the clubs over the course of the
season.

2. VISITING FANS - Your record in this area has been highly commendable over the
years but there is still plenty of room for improvement.
	We ask you to please refrain from any mention of Sheep or any other form
of livestock to Valencia or Faroe supporters. Our new landlords are genuinely
concerned about the safety of innocent creatures that may be housed in other
parts of the Socities grounds. We beg you not to remind our country freinds of
the close proximity of what they would call lifes real pleasures.

3. VISITING PLAYERS AND MANAGERS - This is an area of great concern to us at
Shamrock Rovers. Abuse of any visiting player or manager due to his ugliness or
physical deformities will not be tolerated ( unless of course it's funny)

4. DRESS AND LANGUAGE - Neat dress will be essential. Top hat and tails are
desirable but not compulsory. You will be discouraged from casting aspersions
on opposing players' parents or sexual preferences or practices. This will also
apply to other supporters, managers and referees. We want to promote an image of
a well dressed, well spoken and sober audience that will become the envy of all
other clubs in the league.

5. LOUIS KILCOYNE - If our old friend Louis turns up at one of our games we may
allow some flexibility in the guidelines we have outlined in points 1 to 4. In
the event of his death we will gladly dispose of his body free of charge. Can
you think of a better way to fill in the water jump?

SVM:
After some difficulties with the net, we are back! The session B games were
rather disappointing for us, but the show must go on. We hope to rank much
higher at the end of the season than we are now.

VF:
  Having known that the spanish team Valencia Fireworkers (VF)
lead the EEFL-European Division after session B, we went to
Valencia, a nice town at the eastern coast of Spain. We
interviewed its manager, Vicente Cerveron. We apologize of his
english language, because he mainly speaks spanish (and he
speaks C-language at work). These are  his answers:

Q : First of all, congratulations for your results.
  A : Thank you, very much. I'm very happy of the skill of my
players. They are playing very well and they obey all my orders.

Q : Are you surprised with these results: 4 wins and 2 draws ?
  A : Not really. In Valencia, we have a long tradition in
football (you say soccer in U.S.) and we think that we can play
quite well. These first results demonstrate it.

Q : What are your expectations in your first season ?
  A : Well... When this season started, we wanted to finish in the
top half of our division. Now, we are more optimist and we'll try
to be one of the top three.

Q : Which is your strategy ?
  A : Oh! :-)  It's straightforward. As all players have computer
  related jobs, I give them our strategy written in C-language.

  A : No, I don't. It's true that we have a forward player named
Vicente Cerveron but he's not me.

Q : He looks exactly like you.
  A : Yes, I'm gonna reveal our best kept secret: he is an
ExtraTerrestrial from a far planet named Soccerland. He had
copied my name and external appearance but he has better skills
than humans (specially he has one extra leg to score more goals)...

At that point, we stopped the interview and we went away. We
don't like speaking with liars.

WB:

Dr. Pebbles' coach of WB was interviewed prior to this sesion
  * Int - What do you think about the previous matches?

* Peb - I am pleased very much with the team. They gave a very good try
at Bordeaux, but just things could not roll for us. In The second half
after Gudjohnsen scored 0-1, I almost ate my hat; we were in the game
but did not do anything in the offense. I changed some combinations and
against the hard fighting Dynamo (they had 2 RC, 0ne in the 1st minute),
we gave a chance to our fans to celebrate. Despite the poor 2-0 it was
an easy afternoon. With the WG it was a derby wth both at 7 points.
Strong game at Gothenburg, and despite the missed penalty, we played
well above expected, and scored in the final minutes (84 min).

* Int - What do you think about the EUROPEAN league so-far?

* Peb - Jim, I said before BBK, SVM, Valencia, Shamrock Rovers are the
favourites. SVM is not playing well, I believe four teams will go for
the title, BBK, Valencia, Shamrock and WB.

* Int - What do you think for this session?

* Peb - Jim, we play against Bramming, which has done 3 straight
victories. Things are not easy for us. We studied their game, and I
think we have a plan for getting out with 1 point. PCS made a surprising
win 3-0 at LFC but they should not count on that here. We will certainly
win easily that one (watch out Padova!). At SVM, I can't say - we'll play
open football aiming to get at least 1 point. In this session I am expecting
4 points so we reach 13 points in 9 games. I will be listening at Valencia's
game hoping WG (#3) wins it, so that with a tie at BBK (#4) we get to the
No. 1 spot. Right on top, we deserve it!
