TACTICUS RULES AND SUGGESTIONS From: v058kb3k@ubvmsd.cc.buffalo.edu (Michael H Cole) Date: Mon, 16 Mar 1992 17:19:00 +0000 I have received a number of questions regarding rules and asking for copies. People, I am still creating this game! As you play it, your ideas and suggestions are going to help flesh out the skeleton rules that are in place. Relations with other nations, scouting, and other ideas are all up to you. For now this game has nothing to do with diplomacy or international relations, it is purely a game of strategy in ancient land warfare. But it does'nt have to be, your ideas and input can help make TACTICUS what you want it to be. That's what I'm pushing for here. . .GROUP EFFORT, let your creativity flow, learn and teach. As for suggestions, they are required. I will not process your turns unless you include either a historical fact or a game suggestion. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN NUMBER CRUNCHING. If you tell me you think spears should have a +3 bonus, you will annoy me, if you tell me that spears have a range advantage and explain the underlying historical and tactical importance, you wil have my attention. Got it? Put your minds to work people, let's make this game great! Mike (Imperator) Up
