Tacticus rules From: v058kb3k@ubvmsd.cc.buffalo.edu (Michael H Cole) Date: Mon, 23 Mar 1992 18:27:00 +0000 Now that battle is beginning, I will be posting some of the rules for the game. Pay close attention to these posts! Heavy Infantry and Cavalry troops aHeavy ied to be in a Massed formation. By this I mean they are shoulder to shoulder, fighting in a ordered unit. Skirmish Infantry is assumed to be dispersed, meaning that although in the same unit, troops fight in a loose formation, individuals standing several feet apart. Light Infantry begins the game massed, but may be dispersed on an order from the general. If your troops have Unshakable Morale, this means that they will fight to the last man and never flee. If your troops are Expert Shots, this means that they are highly accurate at missle combat. Light Cavalry units are massed, but the formation is a bit looser. DISPERSED UNITS CANNOT STAND AGAINST MASSED UNITS!!! If a heavy infantry unit attacks a skirmisher unit or dispersed light infantry, the dispersed unit is broken and lost! This is all you need to know for now, more on the way. Mike (Imperator) Up
