Duelmasters - No Excuse Not To Post!! From: johnjohn@CCO.CALTECH.EDU (John Carlos White) Date: Thu, 19 Mar 1992 18:39:00 +0000 If you're one of those people who reads Duelmasters posts, and benefits or enjoys them, there is no exuse not to post! 1) I don't acutally play, and I don't want to bother you. Hell, I don't care whether or not you actually play. If you're someone who wants to know mre about the game, then hey, I sure don't mind telling you. You might even have some ideas that I haven't thought of. 2) I can read Usenet with my archaic news program, but I can't post. Yes you can! I've posted this using a mail-USENET gateway at ucbvax.berkeley.edu as an example of how you can post. Here are the instructions, shamelessly stolen from the Answers to Frequently Asked Questions post on news.announce.newusers. I didn't even bother editing it... 43. Is it possible to post messages to the Usenet via electronic mail? There are a few sites on the Usenet that offer a full-scale mail to news gateway, so that you can post via E-mail to any newsgroup support. The most well-known gateway of this sort is ucbvax.berkeley.edu. To post a message to the Usenet through that gateway, you take the name of the newsgroup to which you want to post and convert all of the periods to dashes, and use that as the address to which to send your message. For example, to post a message to news.newusers.questions, you would mail it to news-newusers-questions@ucbvax.berkeley.edu. => Please do not use this service if you have other posting access => to the Usenet. Furthermore, as the mail gateway is not capable [Oops, I didn't realize this until after I sent this off. Well, I won't do it next time!] of doing cross-posting, please do not post identical messages to more than one newsgroup when posting through the gateway. See, it's that easy! Hope to see you post soon!!! John White Up
