Duelmasters: Marginal Returns of Stat Trains From: ccs012@george.ucdavis.edu (Riff-Raff) Date: Thu, 26 Mar 1992 19:18:49 +0000 Fellow Netters, I am in something of a quandry over a managerial decision I am about to make, and I would like to get some second opinions on the matter. I have a waste who just received notice that he is Primus eligible, but not inducted. He currently has 106 skills (only 5 from stat raises), and is maxed out in Attack, Init, Parry, and Defense, with 7 skills left in both Riposte and Decis. Currently, his WL is 19 (trained twice) and I am considering training it to 21. This will give me 2 Attack, 1 Decis, 2 Parry, and 2 Defense skills, which will put him at Advanced Master Attack, Master Parry, Master Defense (he really got reamed on his Parry rating. I mean bad. It hurts just to think about it), while only "wasting" one skill - Decis. I've talked it over with quite a few managers, and I think I'm going to do it, but if anyone can think of a good reason why I shouldn't please tell me now. I'm sending the waste in question to the Primus tourney in the hopes that he'll be able to pick up some of those valuable skills, so that should mitigate the damage somewhat. Assuming this was your character, would you train WL? Trump +--------------------------------------------------+-------------------------+ !
