SFB PBeM. Replacements wanted. From: barnett@ecs.umass.edu Date: Tue, 21 Apr 1992 10:48:29 +0000 Greetings, I am currently running a PBeM game of Star Fleet Battles. Alas, as will happen to all games I have had a few players drop out. I'm now looking to locate from 1-3 players (I'm still waiting to hear from 2 players so I'm not sure just yet how many dropouts I have.) who wish to replace the dropped positions. While I realize that many folks out there will send mail saying, "Perhaps I'd be interested, send more info" I just don't have the time for that. I'm going to try to avoid interrupting the game in progress so I need folks who are willing to "give it a shot" and are willing to jump right into the game. Also, I'm looking for players who like to game! I'd rather not have someone join in "just to see how it goes" and then drop out in a week. Yuk! And finally, although I'll be sending out the "rules" to the PBeM version of the game, I'm looking for players that have PLAYED SFB before and who HAVE a copy of the Captains Edition of the rulebook. Only the Basic rulebook is needed as I'm using only 1 or 2 rules from Advanced Missions. The game may go only 1 more turn or it may go many more. I make no promises! I just want to give someone a chance to see how the game is played while not having to abandon a ship! In addition, I'll keep all the names I receive handy for my next game. I'll send anyone who replies to me a note when I start up a new game. Thanks for your time, John W.
