Jaracz) Date: Mon, 20 Apr 1992 19:52:26 +0000 New Pro Wrestling PBM currently in the works and looking for beta testers: 1) Players take on the persona of managers, guiding the careers of their charges. In the "beginning" wrestlers and managers are of approximately equal abilities. 2) Managers (i.e. pbm'ers) are rated on how good their wrestlers are. How "good" a wrestler is is determined not by their acutal wrestling skill but by what their Charisma is. Charisma is positive for faces and negative for heels. A manager would always rather have a -10 charisma jobber than a 1 charisma regional champ. ("It's how good you look, baby....) 3) Wrestlers are rated in (as of right now) 12 categories, such as offensive/defensive skills, size, intelligence, endurance and more. 4) Managers are rated in (right now) 6 categories including Fasttalk, Negotiation and the obligatory Sneakiness. 5) There are World, North American, U.S. and regional championships. 6) Moves (and there are literally just about "all of 'em) are divided into categories: Basic, Brawling, Aerial and Finishing. 7) Turns consist of many many many options, including negotiating contracts, doing interviews, training the wrestlers, scouting new talent, etc. etc. etc., as well as the actual matches themselves. 8) Matches are reported in the tv-like play-by-play style. Done by English majors, if anybody cares.... :) There's more, but by now you're either interested or your not. So, if you want to be a tester, let me know. Set-up will be done e-mail, but after that (over the summer) it will probably be straight mail. We'll see. This would be the second test group I've run. The first was about 2 or 3 years ago with a group of co-workers at Origin Systems (yes yes, Ultima etc etc) and it went really well, but I just didnt have the time..... Bye! Up
