While sometimes that means using phasers and torpedoes for that defense, sometimes that defense comes in other ways... The U.S.S. Prometheus is the first ship of her class. Designed with many advance tactical capabilities like the Multi-Vector Assult Mode, she can hold her own in most ship-to-ship fights. But after the Dominion War the Federation is turning back to its primary mission of seeking out new life and new civilizations, which means that ship-to-ship battles aren't going to be happening nearly as often. Instead of mothballing the Prometheus, Starfleet has decided to try using the vessel in more ordinary capacities, like most other ships of the fleet are assigned to. But then, when is any mission truly "routine"? The U.S.S. Prometheus is a freeform PBeM RPG game rated PG-13.
