A Duelmasters-like game had gender, and I think RSI just made the change to take away any newness that this other game (Blood Pit) might have. >Has anyone made charts other than the weapons/stats >and weapon suitability chart that they could post? What kind of info are you looking for? If you want something like: What kind of weapons are good against what kind of armors? Then someone I'm sure has a chart like that, although it's purely subjective. It's better to go on a character-by-character basis, determining what weaons he *can* use, and then deciding what weapons to use. >#1 ST 10 + 5 > CN 11 + > SZ 17 + > WT 4 + 5 > WL 9 + 3 > SP 14 + 1 > DF 5 + > > Basher is what I'm thinking. Wt and WL aren't good, but ST, >SZ and SP want me to make him offensive, but Deftness ruins his chances >at being a finesse style (as does WT). Maybe a slasher, but see the >next guy. BA ST 10 + 3 = 13 CN 11 + 0 = 11 SZ 17 + 0 = 17 WT 4 + 1 = 5 WL 9 + 4 = 13 SP 14 + 0 = 14 DF 5 + 6 = 11 This guy is probably way too average to do very well. His DF will help his attack ability somewhat, but his low WT/WL combination is going to be hard to overcome; it just affects his initial skill bases too much, and he doesn't have any one stat (like WL, ST, or even SP) to give him some really good bonuses. I'd DA this guy right away, but if you decide to run him, dress him in no armor, run him with a WH vs. light (0,14) and a MA vs. heavy (15,+) and train either DF for extra attack ability or ST for extra damage. With the low WT, he's never going to be good for much of anything, though. >#2 ST 9 + 4 > CN 15 + > SZ 18 + > WT 8 + 1 > WL 4 + 5 > SP 4 + 3 > DF 12 + 1 > > I figure (after looking at the charts :) ) that Deftness is >imprtant to a slasher and everything else about this guy fits. I put >the extra two points into SP for initiative, but perhaps those can be >better used somewhere else. Possibly a waste as well. ST ST 9 + 2 = 11 CN 15 + 0 = 15 SZ 18 + 0 = 18 WT 8 + 5 = 13 WL 4 + 1 = 5 SP 4 + 1 = 5 DF 12 + 5 = 17 His endurance is going to be really bad, because WL affects endurance much more than either ST or CN do, therefore you have to pick a style that conserves endurance well. Since he's so big, the defensive stles are out; the only thing left is striking. His high DF should give him a pretty good attack rating, and his ST/WT/DF combo will give him a fairly decent weapon selection. I'd run him in no body armor, at 10-10-10-Decis. Train skills (you should average about 1 skill/fight) and challenge offensives who 1) don't wear armor and/or 2) can't take much damage. >#3 ST 9 + 4 > CN 14 + > SZ 13 + > WT 10 + 3 > WL 9 + 4 > SP 7 + 2 > DF 8 + 1 > > This guy is tough for me to figure because he is pretty >rounded with a leaning toward an offensive style. SL ST 9 + 2 = 11 CN 14 + 0 = 14 SZ 13 + 0 = 13 WT 10 + 5 = 15 WL 9 + 0 = 9 SP 7 + 2 = 9 DF 8 + 5 = 13 Not too bad. I'd prefer to have a little more WT and a little less CN (if you could switch the two you'd have a much better character), but since you can't this is probably about the best. I'd run him in no armor (can we see a trend here?), going 10-6-6-None attacking the arms (right is best) and defending the arms. I'd have him use the SC vs. light (0,7), LO vs. medium (8,14), and BS vs. heavy (15,+). >#4 ST 9 + 4 > CN 10 + > SZ 11 + > WT 5 + 4 > WL 13 + 6 > SP 13 + > DF 9 + > > Becuase of the low wit I'm thinking offensive. LU ST 9 + 2 = 11 CN 10 + 0 = 10 SZ 11 + 0 = 11 WT 5 + 0 = 5 WL 13 + 6 = 19 SP 13 + 0 = 13 DF 9 + 6 = 15 His low WT lunger should do very, very well and will probably be the cream of the offensive crop in the short run. Run him in (drum roll please) no body armor, going 10-10-10-Lunge attacking the Abdomen and protecting the legs. >#5 ST 16 + 1 > CN 11 + > SZ 5 + > WT 8 + 5 > WL 10 + 6 > SP 13 + > DF 7 + 2 > > This guy looks to me to have some great potential. I am >guessing Parry-Lunger because he has great attack from strength and >resonable defense from size. ST 16 + 0 = 16 CN 11 + 0 = 11 SZ 5 + 0 = 5 WT 8 + 5 = 13 WL 10 + 3 = 13 SP 13 + 0 = 13 DF 7 + 6 = 13 This guy is going to be helped out a lot by his small SZ, so I would definitely not DA him. However, his overall skill base really isn't going to be anything special almost no matter what style you amke him. Personally, for a well-rounded guy like this I would probably go Parry-Strike. Grisel knows a lot more about how to run them than I do, but I would think he would do well. > If you would DA them let me know, I'm still going to run them >just for experience (I need *SOME* fodder for the expeienced managers >until I learn the ropes). Well, any character with a warrior lower than 13 isn't really going to be successful inthe long-term, so at some point you're almost certainly going to have to start DA'ing if you want to keep your overall record about .500. From personal experience I can honestly say that it's nice to run bad characters, but you learn a lot more, and enjoy the game a lot more, if you run better warriors. They perform better, learn better, and are more interesting than the 20-20 lungers who started out 7-1-5. > Also the chart I have doesn't list the classic weapon of the >TP as a sheild, which according to the ROLL-UP RULES infront of me it >is(they are). Typos abound in these things. I'm not sure what the classic weapon means in game terms. Just try out many different weapons, and see which ones *your* characters like...and don't trust very much that RSI tells you. There's a sponsor program for a reason... :) Trump Up
