Co-GM wanted for PbEM game... From: Jesse.Taylor@bbs.oit.unc.edu (Jesse Taylor) Date: Mon, 20 Jul 1992 21:29:46 +0000 Okey, chummers. Here's the deal. A long long time ago, in a message far, far buried in an antiquated file system somewhere, I started a Play-by-E-Mail game. But. Since then, my schedule has caused turns to be sent out erratically, I miss whole weeks here and there, the bbs dies at annoying times. Telnet crashes during something important. The lines get busy and I can't get through, you know, all the standard stuff which people never believe is really happening... SO, I have decided it's kinda pigheaded to force my players to conform to my erratic schedule (plus I'm MEGA burned out from doing too many imaginative things at one time... A game of galaxy at a critical moment in a campaign that keeps me up nights wondering if I made the right tactical move.. A game of Star Empires which I'm getting ripped to shreds in... A huge mega-story I'm writing for some freinds... A storyline in SUPERGUY-L... AND this PbEM... I need a break (I'm going away next week). SO, I've decided to try and recruit a co-GM to take over for me for a week or so while I zone out, and also to cover for me during all those times when I have to duck out on some stupid something somewheres. Requirements are this: You cain't be currently playing or GMing in any ROLE-PLAYING play-by-email game (wargames are ok). You have to have the Forgotten Realms set, and have to understand it. You also have to have a good imagination, and be familiar with the ADND rules. You don't have to have any experience, you just have to know how. Though experience is preferable to newbeism. If anyone out there wants to help out a majorly burned out GM save his game, please mail me. If I can get two people (A Co-Co-GM?), so much the better. Please reply ASAP so I can get you set up before I go off on my mega-R&R trip to scenic downtown Hell. Thanks stomptillions.
