Legends: Items, Petrification, Arrests From: dani@netcom.com (Dani Zweig) Date: Wed, 16 Sep 1992 00:41:54 +0000 1. It's been a real interesting turn, especially in terms of treasure picked up. Too bad I haven't a clue whether it's any good. Does anybody know what the following do? I#1161 - Gem of Drakkenkind I#1116 - Chaos Ooze I#1118 - Psi-Monster Orb I#716 - Wizards Robes I#604 - Medal of the Warrior I#1005 - Seers' Orb They certainly *sound* promising. (I've been told that the Seers' Orb does wonderful things in Crown of Avalon, and far less in Realm, but the person who told me this didn't know specifics. I'm in Realm, naturally.) 2. I asked recently on this group how petrification works. I've since received answers from several people. Unfortunately, the answers didn't match. One answered that petrification was always a 100-point special attack, and that the chance of actually being turned to stone was equal to the damage taken -- i.e. 100/SAR%. One answered that he and the group with which he was working had determined that petrification wasn't implemented, and you only took damage. And one, associated with MG (it wasn't clear from the message whether it was okay to name names), said that the chance of petrification depended on *constitution*. (When I asked, for clarification, whether this meant that it didn't depend on SA damage taken, he said that it did, but that the relation was a secret.) So I'm "as befogged as before". 3. I just failed, yet again, in an attempt to arrest a character with a bunch of guards. Has *anyone* out there ever tried to arrest a character and *succeeded*? What does it take, 500 guards? advTHANKSance. ----- Dani Zweig dani@netcom.com The surface of the strange, forbidden planet was roughly textured and green, much like cottage cheese gets way after the date on the lid says it is all right to buy it.--Scott Jones Referenced By Up
