Well, you asked for it...

Jareel, the Waste, went out there in chainmail&helm, holding a short
sword w/ a spare stuck in her belt (she uses this weapon in an unorthodox
fashion, primarily because it was an entry error [I've checked my xerox of
the order sheet, and it definitely says SC]).  She's facing Tula, a slasher
with scimitar and medium shield, wearing padded leather and helm.

1st minute.  Tula lets loose with a frenzy of attacks, (I count 8,
including 1 bash with the shield.  Jareel only attacks once, and fails to
hit.  Jareel only parries one of the attacks, but of the other 7, 4 are
stated to land ineffectively or bounce off the armor.  At the end of the
minute, it says Tula is favorably on top.

2nd minute.  Less active.  Tula is getting tired, and only manages
five attacks, two of which are parried and the other three dodged.  Jareel
once again only lets loose with one attack, which is dodged.  After two
minutes, Tula appears to be winning.

3rd minute.  Tula is becoming increasingly weary, only taking four
attacks this round.  The first is dodged, but the next two land in quick
succession, hitting Jareel in the face and breast.  The second fails to do
much damage, but Jareel becomes careless.  However, Tula is too tired to
take advantage, and after making one last attack (which Jareel parries),
Jareel responds with a flurry of three blows, which strike home to the
right elbow, chest and jaw, which make the fight look even to the color
commentator.

4th minute.  Tula's breathing heavily.  Jareel strikes Tula in the
ankle, causing the slasher to become desparate, and bash Jareel in the right
rib cage with her shield.  Jareel, too, is tiring now.  Tula manages to get
off three attacks before the end of the minute, but one of them is just a
weary flailing, while Jareel easily parries the other two.  Jareel now appears
to be winning.

5th minute.  Tula is very weary, and a roar rises from Jareel's fans.
Jareel lunges, cutting Tula's right hand, to which Tula responds with a
slashing blow to the head, which glances of Jareel's helm.  Tula strikes
twice more, but the first blow is parried, and the second misses wildly.
Calling up her last reserves, Tula bounds forward, but Jareel lunges with
her shortsword, hitting Tula in the upper body!  Tula backs away, as the
crowd takes up the chant of her opponent's name.  Jareel slashes again at
her opponent's ribs, and Tula is beaten.

Tula's popularity increased greatly, while Jareel's only increased
(such are the hazards of being a defensive fighter).  Still, when you've
got chainmail on and your opponent can't do much damage, you can still
win with the wrong weapon.
