My name is Michael Motta and I'd like to welcome you to a political RPG I have started: MJ Morrison! This game is going to work using the Free-Form system... no dice or statistics, just good writers writing back and forth to one another controlling their own characters. MJ Morrison is a Democrat running for President of the United States in 2008. To avoid you having to read (and me having to write) lengthy fictional histories, we are going to use current events as the backdrop, but the emphasis will be on the future as you and I create it together. The year in our game will be January, 2007 and MJ Morrison is seeking out the best and brightest political strategists to help him win the Democratic nomination. Depending on how things go, we may slow down or speed up time... will Morrison win the nomination? If he does so, will he become President? I have a general idea of where I'd like to take this storyline, but the players will be just as important in pushing the story along. If one of your characters really messes up, I have no problem with Morrison losing... let's try to make this as realistic and fun as possible. As GM I will post both current events and polling data in the respective areas... using this info, your characters will interact and decide on strategy. I will play the part of Morrison. To start, all I ask is that you post a brief bio in the Biographies section following the format that I used for Morrison. Once I give my okay, we will begin with job interviews at Campaign Headquarters! I think this will be a lot of fun... I hope you agree! Mike [ This is a new entry for the PBM List.
