Duelmasters: Need some help! From: kirby@pyramid.unr.edu (Stephen Kirby) Date: Thu, 01 Oct 1992 07:34:07 +0000 Could someone give me more information about figuring out skill levels(?) of my warriors? I have heard of the Boss Rat charts and (someone else) charts, but haven't seen or heard that much. I could use the help. :( My team is called Kharan-Dor in Arena 48 Caer (say-eer). I am now a 7 and 18. It has taken my about 5 turns to figure out how to run the various styles and I'm still getting hosed. I *DID* make a lot of mistakes when I made the characters up just to play around. Does "<insert name> is testing the edge of a <insert weapon>" mean that this is his/her favorite weapon? Or do you have to look at # of attacks per minute versus activity level? Oh, and a basher uses a OPEN HAND in a marginally effective fashion, I tried it (accidently). Is there any point to keeping some of these chracters? Horin PS -- Parrys Intelligently -- Seldom wastes Endurance needlessly has a GOOD ENDURANCE CANNOT take a LOT of PUNISHMENT can carry a TEMENDOUS WEIGHT in armor and weapons can do GOOD DAMAGE with a blow ST 21 CN 11 SZ 5 WT 12 WL 13 SP 13 DF 9 Learns 4 Parrys 2 Decisiveness 1 Attack 3 Initiative He is 1-5 and 19 Recongnition Points. Why is this guy doing so poorly!? I thought he would do okay. This guy, unless someone here sees somehting I don't, will be DA'd this turn (due 10/7). Gorgi Striker BRIGHT has VERY LITTLE ENDURANCE can sustain a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF DAMAGE CANNOT carry a LOT OF WEIGHT in weapons and armor does GREAT DAMAGE with every blow ST 9 CN 17 SZ 18 WT 13 WL 5 SP 5 DF 17 learns 3 Decisivness 1 Initiative 1 Attack He is 1-3 with 13 Recognition Points. His one win, however, was from a guy who collapsed after nearly killing Gorgi. Here is another guy I should probably DA, see anything? Or is he just an example of poor character building :< Dorgi Basher QUICK and ACTIVE fighter SLOW on his feet -- with a marked inability to avoid blows GREAT DAMAGE with every blow ST 12 +1 CN 11 SZ 17 WT 9 WL 13 SP 17 DF 5 learns 1 attack 2 defense (1 strength) He is now at 1-4 and, again, his one win is from someone collapsing from exhaustion. Since I'm entering just about everyone let me show you a guy I just got last turn. Flyn Is INTELLIGENT -- very agressive and clever fighting style -- does a lot of little things well -- makes very clever attacks -- rarely makes mistakes -- is always thinking ahead -- plans every move she makes, seldom wasting effort VERY QUICK and ACTIVE fighter can take A LOT of DAMAGE CANNOT carry a LOT of WEIGHT INCREDIBLY QUICK and ELUSIVE -- makeing even dangerous opponents look harmless ST 9 CN 16 SZ 7 WT 15 WL 15 SP 9 DF 13 learns 1 attack She is 0-1 having fought a 4-1 PS with 29 recognition. Thanks for your time, Steve Up
