Re: Duelmasters -- Question on PL's... From: ck257@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Michael E. Lee) Date: Sun, 01 Nov 1992 06:02:19 +0000 John, How kind of you to ask on PLs. (grin) I assume you do normal damage, maybe even less? I need to know what weapons you are using too. One, or do you have an off-hand, too? I'll assume you run with a longsword, wearing ALE/L or something.... I started Master Lee 10-10-6 with a longsword early in his career. After he picked up his masters in ATT, PAR, DEF, INIT, i pretty much ran 6-6 all the way across for the rest of his career (until i retired, which would be about 4 tourneys and 50 fights in arena). I know it's scary going 6-6 against lungers, but believe me, you'll eventually get a riposte and start kicking butt. I wouldn't even worry about the other offensives. I always annihilated strikers, bashers, slashers. The only styles you have to worry about are lungers and PLs. And wastes (only certain ones like Teetotaler) gave me trouble. And PRs like Dee Dee are tough too (i'd have to look if master lee or mr.lee ever fought her, i'm not really sure). maybe it was just village idiot that i fought countless times. the 6-6 also takes care of TPs. even E. Hemingway is destroyed in 4-5 minutes by master lee when i was going 6-6. i never used the parry tactic. your dodge is your defense, slipping parries will always beat you. i would go 6-6 in desp or 3-9-dodge, but never, ever parry!!! well, until next time, Mr. Lee Referenced By Up
