Opening in game 'pressure' on Washington Judge From: irilyth@fenris.claremont.edu (Josh Smith) Date: Fri, 30 Oct 1992 05:45:08 +0000 I'm the moderator of game 'pressure' on the Washington Judge, which has just lost Austria (to time commitments) before the Spring 1901 moves. This game is a gunboat white press game with partial press, making it effectively equivalent to standard Diplomacy--the only difference is that you don't know who the other players are (but you _can_ communicate with them individually). Since the game hasn't started yet, the only disadvantage to this position is that the other players have had a day or two to scheme without you, but a skilled player should be able to make up for this without too much trouble. You should also be able to get a record of the press sent to and from the previous Austria using the Judge's 'history' feature; I can provide assistance in using same if such is necessary. As this game has barely begun, I suspect this spot won't last long, so don't delay--join in today! (If you miss your chance to join 'pressure', check out 'sardines' and 'ix', two white press/no partial games, or one of 'shadows' or 'fog', a pair of grey press games, all now forming on the Washington Judge...) -- Josh Smith, User Support Coordinator :: irilyth@fenris.claremont.edu Harvey Mudd College, Claremont CA :: consult(std-disclaimer.pl).
