Re: Legends-Undead troops From: <K331280@ALIJKU11.BITNET> Date: Tue, 03 Nov 1992 15:58:44 +0000 Hi | Well, I have to say, that this troops become more and more popular in the Legends Games I am in, couse they are realy fearsome, especialy the higher undead. Skeletons, Zombies and Ghuls are only useful in the beginning, because they cost spell points. The best of them, the Ghuls get a SA of 3, about +15 hit points, and a bonus of +1 on MR and SR. They also gain a small attack bonus. Later in the game you should try to get a character with the demonic status. He can train underworld soldiers for free. This soldiers do not affect your ULI and gain the following bonuses: +15 HP, +2 SA, 2/2 DAM/INV, +1 MR, and some attack bonus. The best undead soldiers are built by the Vampires in higher states e.g. Vampirelord. Vampire Soldiers gain +30 HP, +10 SA, 6/6 DAM/INV, +2 MR, +3 SR and about +100% attack bonus. Another possibilyty are the spectres, but they are a little bit weaker then Vampires and a character with a spectre status cannot advance. Generally I have to say the undead are very good, attacking a city, but they will lower the ULI, when defending it. Winternight is also VERY useful, when attacking with undead soldiers and characters: They get about +50% an all their attributes and the defending soldiers attributes will be lowered with about -50%-if they are not demonic or undead. The only race which gets bonuses in winternights are the orcs. So it is very useful to build undead orc soldiers, they get some extra bonuses then. Ok, I think I have talked enough, Greetings Mike. Up
