More on Adventurer's Guild From: burgesmw@cnsvax.uwec.edu Date: Mon, 02 Nov 1992 18:21:59 +0000 Ok. AG costs $9.75 a turn and if you run multiple characters in a guild, you get a $0.75 credit for each one over your first. There are currently three Guilds to choose from. You don't have to stay in the Guild you start in since you can freely travel from Guild to Guild. Now, many of you are saying "Wow, that is a lot of money". Not if you condsider what you pay for DM and what you get from DM. AG gives you more fights and most likely more output. If you do get the rules, I believe you will see that the price is worth it (although I would like to see it lower since I am on a restricted budget). I forgot to mention that you can have five "personalized" statements that you can have your character say during a fight. This lets you give your character a personality that will show up in the fights. Adventurer's Guild is 100% computer moderated, I believe. If it isn't, than it is 99% computer moderated. Adventures are done by the computer. The main reason that you might not have heard of the game is because the GM doesn't advertise. He has some talk about it in the back of Paper Mayhem, but he doesn't make an all out advertisement for the game. I do not know why, but most games are spread by word of mouth anyway. Any questions, post 'em. You might have the same question as someone else and it will save me the time of responding to everyones mail (which I really don't mind that much). I am more than willing to help anyone start up in the game. Matt Burgess burgesmw@cnsvax.uwec.edu Up
