New VGA Planets game forming From: dpn2@po.CWRU.Edu (Damien P. Neil) Date: Thu, 19 Nov 1992 03:06:39 +0000 OK, I've decided to take the plunge. I will be running a game of VGA Planets, starting as soon as I get players to fill all the slots. The game will be run with the initial starting distance on medium. I have not registered the game yet, so tech will be limited to level 6 at the start. I'm going to be sending in my $10 tomorrow, so this will change as soon as I get the registered version. The game will use passwords -- call me paranoid if you like. You may choose a name for your race if you like. I will be playing as the Cyborgs. I give my word of honor that I will not cheat, but you are going to have to trust me. If you don't like the idea of the host being a player, don't join this game. Turnaround time for turns will be one week maximum. If I receive all the turns before the time limit, I will run them through and start the next turn. If the one week limit proves to be to long or short, I may change it. To sign up, mail me at dpn2@po.cwru.edu. Give a list of the races you want to be, in order of preference. First come, first serve. Include the password you want to use. If there is a large amount of interest in playing, I may consider starting other games. For those of you who have not heard of VGA Planets, it is a shareware strategy PBeM for MS-DOS. It uses a graphical front end to simplify turn creation. The game may be FTPd from ftp.ucsc.edu. +-------------+------------------+---------------------------------+ | Damien Neil | dpn2@po.cwru.edu | Case Western Reserve University | +-------------+------------------+---------------------------------+ Up
