Blackmoor: Markaat Is Missing! (DnD 3.5, free, play-by-post) From: saint.meerkat@gmail.com Date: Mon, 13 Feb 2006 03:52:43 +0000 Blackmoor: Markaat Is Missing! (DnD 3.5) The faculty of the University of Blackmoor is frantic. Even the normally unflappable Dean, Fletcher William, is worried. And King Uther and his inner circle are more than just a little concerned. Professor Markaat, the eccentric but brilliant scholar and inventor, is missing -- and that could spell disaster for Blackmoor. Over the past few months, Professor Markaat has made several significant advances in his effort to combine the fields of clockwork engineering and magic -- allowing devices to run for much longer periods of time without being rewound, and enabling them to follow a much more complex series of instructions, even to the point of making simple decisions. The possibilities for clockwork, beneficial and destructive, are going to be multiplied ten-fold -- but not without the professor. Has the Egg of Coot subjugated Markaat and spirited him away to buildn ew and more terrifying war machines? Has Toska Rusa, fearing the research would be used against them, assassinated the good professor? Or did he merely take a wrong turn and end up wandering out of the city...again? Regardless, it is vital to the security of the kingdom that Markaat be found -- and soon! ***** Dave Arneson's classic realm of Blackmoor is the setting for this adventure. Come explore the very first role-playing setting ever. Arneson, the co-creator of the Dungeons and Dragons game, created Blackmoor over thirty years ago. Before Forgotten Realms... Before Greyhawk...
