It appears that the Vampyre status tree looks something like this: Vampyres are tough (INV/DMG 6, SA 50) but can't afflict. Greater Vampyres (INV/DMG 7, SA 100) can afflict Vampyre status. Vampyre Lords (INV/DMG 8, SA 500) can afflict Greater Vampyre status. Spirit of the Dead is Real Tough (INV/DMG 9, SA 750) but can't afflict at all. Lord of the Dead (stats?) is as high as it gets, and can afflict Vampyre Lord. I don't think I've ever seen a LotD.
