The Count versus 30 men From: Mark__Nielsen <mnielsen@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu> Date: Sun, 31 Jan 1993 17:31:19 +0000 About two months ago, I played Count Klaun Von Stratsborg of Storinborg in a pbem. He was a 4th level fighter, 5th level mage. I had in his character story that he was specialized in the dagger and dart and proficient in the long sword. I put in his character history that he killed 30 1st or 2nd level fighter's/thieves single handedly. Some of the people who I played with were idiots didn't believe this was fair, and it ended up that they thought he was too arrogant, which he was. He was a noble and they treated him like a peasant, so it was their fault, but eventually I had to make him quit because the people didn't believe him his storyies and also didn't like him. Of course the DM helped kick the character out also. Bascially he had a fly spell, protection from normal missiles from a scroll, strength, enlarge, invisibility, and shield up. He had 20 daggers , 20 darts, and one long sword, flame tongue. He also had dex bonuses and he had about 35 hit points. His strength was 18/40. He used the invisibility to gather the darts and daggers after they had been used up. Bascially the Count would fly and throw things down upon the enemy. The enemy had no ranged weapons and no magical weapons. I ran through a simulation with a couple of friends, and I ended up winning. But we could have been prejudice. Is there anything the 30 men could have done besides run? There weren't many trees they could climb upon and jump on him and there were not many leaves on the trees because it was springtime.
