DM tactics From: ewalents@magnus.acs.ohio-state.edu (Erich Walentschak) Date: Wed, 17 Feb 1993 07:52:21 +0000 How much has everyone experimented with tactics?? Its always been my understanding that if you were to use a tactic, that that specific thing was enhanced a bit while all other aspects were hurt. The obvious being Decise. When using the decise tactic, Ive noticed warriors moving a little faster initially but sacrificing init, attack and all defensive skills. Parry, dodge and riposte are pretty obvious in this manner too. My question regards a slasher I have about to challenge the DM in 65. The DM is an aimer that seems to have an uncanny knack of stealing initiative from people and I was toying with some different ideas as to how to keep the initiative. Has anyone found slash or lunge tactic to help with this?? Has anyone even tried the lunge tactic with a slasher?? I doubt it would work, but it might be worth thinking about. My guy does have a 120 in init so maybe he has a chance since the DM is only at 20 fights. Well, post away at your personal findings on tactics. I do have to phone in my turn tonight so im going OE 10-8-6-6-6-6-7, AL 7-3-1-1-1-1-7 with KD=OE except 7 in the 1st. Im using slash tactic in the 2nd. Hope this works. If not I could have a dead overachiever (hes 6-1 with 98 points) Erich The Wizard Up
