Legends-Silver Lute Revisited From: jozborne@ersys.edmonton.ab.ca (John Osborne) Date: Tue, 02 Mar 1993 02:58:34 +0000 Thanks for all the advice I got on the Silver Lute everybody. It does indeed raise SAR by 5 and MAR by 1. Also what you all didn't know is that if played by the hand of a bard (activated) it will cure insanity. Thanks y'all. And to the Legends novice who was asking for advice/comments: Stats are indeed a waste of points. Only take them if you feel like roleplaying or DEX for thieves, assasains and spies STR for weaker races so they can wear decent armour and carry stuff CON not! BTY only if you main is an influencer of an "ugly race" and whose influence targets generally have higher BTY. All setups are balanced fairly evenly if they are played right. However right now I believe the best setup is a merc position, with the D with max influence and 21 arcane (Druid with the bless spell) and a B-level general. The best word of advice is to get out there and do things! Sitting around and practising skills in and of itself is useless. It means your character isn't where they should be yet. Of course you will be doing this quite alot in the beginning but this can't be helped. All that really matters to the Legends Power Gamer is: Lots of pop Lots of characters (preferably good ones) A big army The rest is fluff. later -- John Osborne jozborne@ersys.edmonton.ab.ca Referenced By Up
