Galaxy: Andromeda and GDPG read this. From: mblaser@nyx.cs.du.edu (Fox) Date: Tue, 09 Mar 1993 22:27:54 +0000 Galaxy game Andromeda run by be me (Fox) has temporarily gone on hold due to a rather unfortunate incident. Whilst attempting to automate the processing by using the UNIX 'at' command the main program saw fit to write a file of 54 megs size to /tmp resulting in the entire system locking up. Until the ops are satisfied I didn't do it maliciously (!) they've temporarily suspended the account with all the Galaxy files in. Hopefuly the turn which should have been sent out on Monday will be sent instead on Thursday or next Monday at the latest. In the meatime DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MAIL ME either here or there. To the GDPG. - FIND THIS BUG FAST PLEASE. The problem arose when I tried to run the galaxy processor using the at command with all various sub commands within the script (ie p, andromeda, orders etc etc). Now did I do something mind-bogglingly stupid or is there a problem with the code? Finally, if R/s (SavageBEAST) could put me onto Lycaeum manually for orders to be sent to my home account I'd be much obliged. I should be back in time for its start.
