Does everyone start with an owned location & this is it, or is it only used for Overlord & Mercenary positions? As far as I know, it's only used for Merc's & Overlords. Heroes and Adventurers parties definitly do *not* start with a location. : It sounds like the Specific Location Request is for players who would like to start in a specific location in the module. Is this right? If you request a specific location, is it guaranteed? Not neccesarily in a location. It's used to express your wishes for a general location on the map. As I've experienced it, it's not really guaranteed where you come, but if you specify it roughly, you can be almost certain you arrive there. (so if you say, I'd like to be somewhere near that lake, or in the neighborhood of that city, mostly you will be where you specified.). Some locations are of limits however (or so I heard), but they'll tell you when you request such a site (at least they do over here.) I don't usually use 'm, but you can use them to attach a description to your character(s). Over hear the 8 or 10 line stories (4-5 messages), all on one character are really popular. You can also use them to put a real address/phone number tag on your forces, so people can get in touch with you. : Which method of player diplomacy is actually used, the "newsletter" method (messages on the end of turnsheets?) or 3x5 cards. (and, speaking of newsletters, is the MG published newsletter/magazine/whatever any good, or mostly crud?) With us the 3x5 cards are not even available (as far as I know), but we don't really miss them, everything is done by messages at the end of a turnsheets. Aiko Gieskens Up
