You may spent your 50 points as follows: 1) 4 points must go for your initial weapon choice 2) 5 points may be spent to make your warrior ambidextrous (not worth it in my opinion) 3) The remaining 46 (or 41) points are split into stats. Each stat point costs 1 development point. Therefore, an 11 strength would cost 11 points. Here is an example setup: Human male 75" tall average weight start in Antar initial alignment of neutral Initial weapon: Halberd Choose not to be ambidextrous Stats: Strength 12 Dexterity 12 Stamina 12 Cunning 10 This warrior is just an example and not a recomendation on my part. As far a races go, you need to decide what kind of battle strategy you would like to employ. Minotaurs, Ogres, Half Trolls are going to be slow brutes in the long run Halflings will be dixies Elves should depend on spells. They are not very good at fighting. Goblins will generally be quick. Dwarfs will be slower and hardier than humans. Humans are the middle ground. They can be whatever they want. Half-elves fall between humans and elves. Right now, the quicker warriors seem to have an advantage in the guild. However, the big guys are good at adventuring. For a beginner, I would recomend goblins, humans, or dwarves as they are alot easier to be successful with. Halftrolls and minotaurs are two of the hardest races to play for the long term. If you need further assistance in your set-up, just post the race you want to play along with your general strategy goals and I will be happy to give you my opinion (as will Mike and Matt, I'm sure).
