GALAXY: New "Insanity" Game Beginning SOON From: RobertNovak%4%MC@athena.manchester.edu Date: Wed, 21 Apr 1993 00:00:50 +0000 [sorry about the previous empty message] Announcing an insane Galaxy game.... I will be beginning a new Galaxy game that should prove to be very strange. Several friends and I are currently playing in Robert Stone's Galaxy games, and we want an opportunity to try things a bit faster and in a smaller setting. Also, like most college students, we want excuses to put off studying. For that reason, I will be starting a Galaxy game, called 'insanity', tonight. We will be using the MS-DOS version of Galaxy 3.5 by Russell Wallace, and the game will be run manually (my system doesn't handle things well enough to automate). Also, I don't have a turn checker for MS-DOS, so you'll have to do your best to avoid errors on your own. Turns will be due at 10:30 PM Indiana Time (11:30 ET, 8:30 PT) Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. Yes, five turns a week. You noticed the name of the game, right? There is room for about 10 players. Turn 0 reports for currently-registered players will go out in a few minutes, and other registrations received before 10pm Indiana Time will get their reports soon after receipt. If you're interested, email me at RobertNovak%4%MC@athena.manchester.edu with a subject of 'register galaxy insanity' (won't make a difference, but it will let me know what your message is about). We are beginning tonight, with empty turns being entered for unregistered players. The sooner you enter, the more likely you are to have fun soon.
