New Oz Game Announcement From: Craig.Delahoy@f514.n635.z3.fidonet.org (Craig Delahoy) Date: Wed, 07 Apr 1993 16:47:41 +0000 HELLO EVERYONE! I am trying to guage interest in a new concept in computer and PBM gaming. This is a project that is currently underway. This is NOT an ad, but more a survey. I am in the process of creating a game that would be played by NETMAIL. This means that you can take part in a multi-player game with 10-20 people from all over the country (or all over the world, theoretically), from the comfort of your favourite BBS. My initial efforts have been primarily to design the game and to test the technology. Now I am at the stage where I need to determine whether or not this project is worth continuing. The game is an interstellar adventure of empire building and conflict. Conquering worlds, coordinating attack and defense, forging and breaking alliances, working out battle strategy. It's not difficult to play, but the possibilities are endless. Would you be interested in a multi-player computer-moderated game that you can play from wherever you're sitting now? If so could you please take the time to reply to me with answers to these questions: How interested would you be? a. very b. moderately c. not at all How many people would you prefer to be in each game? a. 5-10 b. 10-15 c. 15-20 d. more How often would you want to play? a. Twice a week b. Once a week. c. Twice a month d. Once a month How many games would you want to play at once? a. one b. two c. three d. more As this game would be played by netmail, there would be costs involved in running it (mostly phone bills). Would you be prepared to play to pay this game? a. yes b. no way c. depends on cost How much would you be willing to pay per turn? a. 50c b. $1 c. $2 d. nothing Would you like to be kept up to date on development? a. yes b. no Once again, this is not an ad, but I need to work out whether or not there would be enough people interested to make it worth my while completing this project (now that I know it can be done). I appreciate your helping me out. If you know of someone else who might be interested, please pass this message on to them. I can be contacted directly at my BBS: SWAG BBS 055 217 309 3:635/514 Thanks for helping. Craig Delahoy * Origin: S.W.A.G. BBS (Australia) (3:635/514.0) Up
