Legends: ballpark analysis of battles From: dresnick@athena.mit.edu (David I Resnick) Date: Thu, 08 Apr 1993 16:27:28 +0000 Hi, Is there an easy way to make a go/no-go decision for whether a battle is wise? My current approach is to work out who to put in which slot, and try and figure out what happens at every step. Pretty time consuming. Is it feasable to just sum up CFs, avg DFs, INV/DAM effects, tactics effects, and magic effects, and make an estimate? Or do you just have to do it the long way? Also what is the most efficient way in the long run to train troops? I am currently money tight (ain't we all!), and it seems to me that more lower level troops are a better bargain than few higher level/special skill troops since the former each get their racial CF factor as a "bonus". Given that my priest can train 20 Blessed troops per action free using his holy symbols, is their any reason to make the troops anything other than simple blessed with not special skill? Thanks! -David -- David Resnick dresnick@athena.mit.edu Referenced By Up
