I've found tough locations too, 443 Dwarven pop with 130 soldiers. (how
can they support that many through winter? Do these places have stores of
food? Shall I just wait until they start starving?). I've also found
tough lairs, Mature Dragon etc.
My startup had a relatively easy monster-a wyvern, but he is a Regoinal
Hero with a meredragon familiar! Unless I miss my guess the Regional Hero
part is going to massively increase his CF/AF/DF/MAR/SAR etc. (it must give
a minimum of +15 PC which will make him twice as dangerous).
