openings in AD&D2 PBEM From: dalamb@qucis.queensu.ca (David Lamb) Date: Tue, 04 May 1993 14:10:29 +0000 There are a couple of openings in a play-by-email AD&D 2nd Edition game. The primary constraints from my perspective are: - Players interested in role-playing (making up interesting but minor aspects of the campaign is welcome, as is interesting dialogue or description) - Players who read and respond to their mail quickly, preferably once per day on weekdays. - Players who don't mind if *I'm* slower than that when my schedule tightens up [double standard, double standard!] - More background will be available to those who contact me saying they're delighted with the above constraints -- especially if accompanied by a brief character description. :-) - Munchkins need not apply - Don't bother to respond after 7 May 1993; past experience on these bboards seems to say there'll be dozens of replies by then. Roleplaying considerations: The game is in progress. You will probably shortly (within a couple of weeks of realtime, shorter in gametime) join (or at least meet) one of the parties already adventuring (they have a few game-days head start on you). Don't expect them, necessarily, to welcome you with open arms (at first). I need: One cleric of any Good alignment One stealthy type of non-evil alignment I am willing to consider one or two other "interesting" characters, or people willing to play "not-quite player characters (NQPCs)" but you might have to wait a while longer before joining the others. The campaign area appears at first glance to be a "standard pseudo-mediaeval environment". Existing groups have particular missions they're on already. Characters start with 5000 EP; any AD&D1 or AD&D2 race; use the nonweapon proficiencies; use "#languages" from the INT table as additional proficiencies. Non-multiclassed characters will gain a minor boon of my choice. Start with whatever equipment seems reasonable. Magic is less predictable than in the standard rules. Up
