DM: Tourney results: Death and TV From: khearn@pyrps5.eng.pyramid.com (Keith Hearn) Date: Mon, 17 May 1993 22:51:07 +0000 Well, I sent three fighters to the tourney, two came back. One did, however make it to the 10th round and became a TV. Vylora of Mayhem, Inc. went 8-2 in the Apprentice tourney. I'm fairly pleased, considering that this is my first tourney. On the other hand, Telnor, my slasher in the novices got killed in his first fight. I got an... interesting rollup: ST 3 CN 13 SZ 13 WT 8 WL 5 SP 12 DF 16 The Deftness can go to 21, which should make this guy pretty darn quick. The strength is kinda low, tho. With the wit and will as bad as they are, I see no long term potential here, but it looks pretty snappy as a short term offensive to me. Not too many people will be able to out-jump him if I go with raising the speed and deftness as much as paracticable. That low strangth might be a real problem for an offensive, tho. Ought to be able to take a hit, tho, if it comes down to it. Maybe a TP or a waste would be doable, too. That low will might be a problem. I was thinking of ading 5 to the deftness to get that up to 21, and 5 to speed to get it to 17 (is 17 a break point, of am I better off just going to 15?), then 2 to strength so I can use something besides the dagger. This leaves me with 2 more points. One on wit would bring me up to 9, which might be helpful. Or I could put 2 on will to brin it up to 7, would that be of any use? What do you all think? Arlon -- Arlon Greyfletch, Manager of Mayhem, Inc. / After ten turns of fights, Vithicar Arena (game #49) since turn 98 / we're 16-31-4. Went 3-1-0 khearn@pyramid.com / last turn, and got a TV in (408) 428-7304 or (510) 263-2701 / the tourney. Could be worse. Referenced By Up
