LEGENDS Items list usefulness From: drhj@v1.astro.cf.ac.uk (Dean Johnson) Date: Mon, 07 Jun 1993 10:39:36 +0000 Hello There, Recently Jim "The Big Dweeb" pointed out that accepting information from anywhere has reduced the usefulness of the item lists. i.e. Does the information in the list for a particular item agree with the reality for that item in your module. I agree that this is a problem and mainly stems from that fact that I did not appreciate the differences that separate companies may introduce into the same module. I have been attempting to rectify this and harden up the usefulness of the lists, THE SUCCESS OF THIS ULTIMATELY DEPENDS ON YOU THE USERS. I have recently been sent a large list of comparisons for UK ROI and COA and have modified that lists accordingly. Each item will now carrier a module and country specifier where known, e.g. (ROI, UK) (ROI 10, USA) etc... At the moment, I have specified UK items that I know of from the list I was sent. I will fill in more UK items time permitting. I will also go through the lists sent from Austria and mark the items that come from that source. What I need from you the users is info about the modules that you know. If you see an item in the list that is in your module, or has different properties then let me know. I will be posting an items list contribution FAQ to guide contributors. Thanks, Dean Up
